A/N: I had a sudden inspiration to write a RinHaru modeling AU, so here it is! I hope you will like it!

This is the revised version of Chapter 1.

"Shit, yes. Finally."

The sky was dark outside, making it seem as if it was already midnight when it was only 9:15pm as Rin glanced at his digital clock. His house was dark except for the little moonlight that seeped into the many windows of the empty house and the lamp that lit up half of his bedroom at most. His large bed sat in the corner of the room, unused for months.

For months, Rin has been working on the designs that currently lay on his desk day in and day out. The same designs that will hopefully help him rise in ranks in his father's company. Although he finished the designs, there was still much work left to do. Not to mention all the paperwork that has been piling up at his office during his time off. And although he had the perfect designs laid out in front of him, there was no guarantee that people will actually like the performance, especially if he could not find a suitable model.

Rin stood up from his chair to stretch and crack his neck before he walked outside to the balcony. He had no particular person in mind, and the thought of having randomly selected models wear his work unnerves him.

"No" Rin said to his assistant.

His assistant showed him another file.

"Also no."

"B-but, Matsuoka-san, you didn't even so much as glance at the file yet!" The shorter man said hysterically.

Rin just ignored him as the younger man pouted and stormed out of the room.

For four days now, Rin has been meeting with client after client in hopes of finding a model that seemed suitable to his tastes. The designs are already in the process of being made, and he only had six months left. But he never found anyone yet. God, why did he have to be such a perfectionist? No matter how hard he tried, he just didn't feel right about any of the models displayed in the files or at any of the auditions his assistant went through the trouble of holding. He needed someone who could genuinely bring out the best features of his designs.

After a few minutes, his assistant rushed back in his office. "Matsuoka-san, your father just set up a meeting for you to meet with a client at Iwatobi Café in half an hour."

"What? Oi Nitori, wrap up the audition and come pick me up afterward. I can walk there myself." Rom replied, seemingly unfazed by the last-minute notice. Rin expected no less of his father. Over the years, he had gotten used to his father's ways, always throwing randomly planned lessons and meetings his way.

"Alright." His assistant replied right before he stepped out.

"Ah, Matsuoka-san. It is great to see you again. How long has it been—three years?"

"Yes, it has been three years. Sensei, I am very grateful for your help in many of our projects, and it is a pleasure to meet you again." This time, his father sent him to meet with the CEO of a cosmetic company, whom he had recognized from one of his father's parties.

"Ah, speaking of which, how has your father been?"

"My father is actually in Paris right now. My parents are holding a fashion show there in hopes of expanding the company to Paris."

"Yes, and I expect that you are going to be holding your very own show as well?"

"Yes, I plan to hold a show in Paris in half a year, give or take a few weeks depending on how everything goes." Rin suddenly knew exactly why his father sent him to meet with this person. "I was wondering if your company can take a job offer to provide the supplies and staff needed for the show."

"Why yes, of course, Rin-san! I owe a lot to your father for helping my company through the struggles when we first started. I would love to give back to him by helping his son out."

Rin and the president chatted for another half an hour until the set time of the meeting was finally over. Rin stood up and bowed graciously as the executive took his leave.

Rin sat a while longer to finish his coffee before he called for a waiter to pay for the meal.

"Sir, would you like to pay by cash or credit?"

"Credit, please" Rin said as he reached for his wallet to take out his card.

He casually glanced at the waiter's face as he handed him the card. Rin took longer than was necessary as he observed the boy's features. The boy looked to be in his early twenties, with soft facial features and raven hair that covered his forehead. What caught his attention though, were his eyes. Those azure eyes seemed to hold an endless depth, as if there was really an ocean in them, crippling his thoughts.

The boy quirked his eyebrows in a frown for a brief moment, almost as if it never occurred at all. "Sir..is something wrong?"

Rin snapped back. "Oh, um..nothing. Here." He finally handed over the card and happened to glance at the waiter's name tag.

'Haruka Nanase'

As Haruka Nanase walked off, he stared at his figure. The waiter was really thin, but he was really lean despite looking so underweight.

When Rin got his card back, he ran out of the place in a hurry to his car where Nitori was already waiting for him.

"Hurry, drive me back to the office. I need to do something real quick."

"Yes, sir!" Nitori said as he turned on the car.

After they got back, Rin locked himself in his office to work on a drawing. It was a drawing of Haruka Nanase clad in his most recent works. Rin had memorized almost everything about the boy's physical features within the few seconds it took for him to pay for his meal.

When he was done, Rin almost jumped from his seat and made his way to Nitori's desk right outside of his room.

Slamming the picture on his assistant's desk, he said, "Nitori, prepare a job offer letter right now and address it to Haruka Nanase."

Nitori looked at the picture and widened his eyes. "Yes, sir!"

A/N: I'm not sure how much better the revised version might be, but hopefully, much better than before!
