Jake's Pov

5 years earlier –

"All right, Cabin 11 line up!"Caleb said. He's the Cabin Counselor of Hermes cabin, the cabin I'm stuck in until I get claimed. Everyone says that everyone here gets claimed fast ever since some Hero, Percy Jackson I think, made the gods promise that all the gods will claim all their children a long time ago. But still, what if I don't get claimed? What if I'm not even a demigod? What if my parents I never knew where demigods and I was a legacy? My mind kept racing with so many possibilities that I almost crashed into the kid right in front of me, I think his name was Harry? But all I just know that he's a newbie just like me, but he got claimed already, by Hermes. Lucky him! I just wish I was claimed already.

Can I just say, When did I die and go to Heaven, Cause I never had food that good ever since well…now that I think about, never .But that kind didn't take away the feeling that I might not get claimed, but it almost did.

The Apollo cabin started singing songs around the campfire right after we ate, but that still didn't help me get over what was on my mind the whole day. I've properly would've started falling asleep if it wasn't for Holly to sit next to me. Holly was a daughter of Apollo, she's the same age as me and has a twin brother named Hunter. Her and her brother are nothing alike, She cares about nature and loves to draw and play music, while her brother loves to use everything as target practice, I would too, but I suck at archery. But anyway I just meet Holly today ever since I fell on top of her during sword practice, I wasn't playing on falling on her, it kind of just happened.

"Hey clumsy, are u sleeping?" Holly said, while smirking

"Uh...No?" I said while yawning," what makes u think that?"

"Well….you're yawing and when was with my cabin I saw your eyes closed and I think you were drooling"

"No I wasn't"

"Yes you were"

"No I wasn't…Wait how did u get here" I asked curious

"Snuck over here, told my brother I was going to the bathroom" She said while smirking. All I could say was "Oh." Holly and I stood their silent listening to the sings her cabin was singing, until something strange happened everyone stopped playing and started staring at me as if something happened to me, I was going to say something smart to ask what they were staring at, but it came out like this "uh….What u guys starring at." Even when I said that nobody said anything, but I think I girl from the Athena cabin was going to say something, but second guessed it. After like seconds later, I finally went with my gut and looked at what everyone else was staring at.

The thing is, that I knew what it's was, but I didn't know what it meant and was happening. The thing that everyone was staring was a hologram of green light with a…Trident.

"Jake…You're…being…Determined…"Holly said

"What?!"

Everyone started kneeling and Chiron announced "Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses, Hail, Jake Piers, Son of The Sea God, Poseidon."

"Wait…..WHAT?!" was practically all I could say.
