Chapter 1

Tris POV

I sleepily open my tired eyes to find myself laying in bed with Tobias. I look over to the clock and the clock reads 6:18 a.m. I slowly and quietly get out of bed trying not to wake Tobias. I never am able to. he sits up and rubs his eyes.

"Go back to sleep Toby." I say softly

"What time is it?" He groans.

"Time to get up to go to breakfast and work."

I then gather my clothes and a towel and walk into the bathroom to take a shower. I take a quick shower and as I am brushing my hair Tobias walks in to brush his teeth.

"Can you put your hair in that fancy braid like it was after Christina did it?"

"A french braid? the one that starts at the top of my head and goes to the bottom?"

"Yeah a french braid." He replies quickly.

"Yes I can." I say as I start both finish getting ready and walk down to the pit. We meet up with the gang after we get our breakfast.

"Is Shauna ok? She's not here." I ask Zeke

"Yeah. Shauna is sick today." Uriah and Zeke, say.

"The flu?" I ask Zeke

"No we don't know ."Zeke replies

"Hey guys we should do something tonight." Tobias says

"We should play truth or dare!"Uri shouts.

We all agree to meet at our place after dinner at 6:00 and play truth or each head our separate ways to go to work.

"See you later guys."I say to everyone.

We all meet up at our normal table for lunch, to find people sitting there. They aren't people we know and all of us just stand by the door gawking. NO ONE SITS AT OUR TABLE BUT US! Finally Lynn and Mar go and approach the dauntless sitting at our table.

"Hi my name is Lynn and this is Marlene. Who exactly are you, and why are you sitting at our table?"

"I am John and this is Jamie, Marie, Macy, Abby, and Ashton. We are sitting here because this is our table." the older man explains.

"Oh really how do you know we won't fight for it. This has been our table for almost year now it is our table." Toby says quickly getting mad. I walk up next to him and place my hand on the Amity symbol on his back.

"No Tris."He says quietly but with a threatening punch to it.

"You pansycakes think you'll get this table without fighting us for it? Tris placed first in her year Uriah second Marlene third and Lynn fourth. I was also first in my class Zeke second and Shauna fourth. so do you really want to fight us? Tobias announced to the group sitting at our table.

"Sure we'll fight you." Abby piped up

"Alright then meet us in the training room at 4:30 tonight. John, you will fight me, Ashton you will fight Tris, Jamie you will fight Uriah, Marie you will fight Marlene , Macy you will fight Zeke, and Abby you will fight Lynn. we'll see you there. the fights start at 5:00 but we get a half hour to warm up." Tobias replies to Abby.

"See you there." Ashton states
