Hi guys, just a one-shot inspired by... I don't know. WARNING this may cause tears because the version of this I showed my English teacher (without Ziva's name in. I pretty sure she doesn't know about the fan fic) Made one of my class cry.

He remembered the day. The day her red dress lit up the streets of Rio. How everything about that day had been perfect the way her bare feet rhythmically hit the cobbled road and her hair danced around her face highlighting her smile but, they were all memories now and they had started to fade away because all anyone else could remember about that day was that was the day she died. She was dead. Ziva David was dead. Realisation had started to set in he now knew he would never see her smile again or taste the way her words hung in the air. Everything about her was memories and they would fade away.

The way she died was what hurt most. He knew death would come to them both one day but, never like this. He wanted them to die in old age asleep in their beds. Together. Hand in hand. Right next to each other breathing their last breath as their hearts went silent. Seeing their life flash before their eyes, the life they shared. A long happy life full of joy, full of memories because all that needed to happen for memories to happen was for them to be together.

That night he had promised her that whenever she cried he would be there comforting her that, whenever she smiled he would because, her smile was what he lived for but, he failed she died alone in a cell writing "I love you" in her blood. Calling his name crying for him to help, but he didn't. He couldn't. But he should have.

She was gone now. That was all he could think about, her not being there. He had nothing left to live for. So he did what he had to do he pulled the gun to his head and said "We will be together now forever and always." He pulled the trigger. Then there was no more. No one left would know about the love they had shared. It all faded into the secrets of the world. A secret of the world that would be lost forever.

A tear has fallen down my cheek (I cry way to easily). Please review.
