Save the chance.

Prologue.

It's another year at Hogwarts, some would just begin their school adventures while others were returning for their 6th year. Footsteps and chatter were heard all over the schoolgrounds, as everyone's making their way towards the same destination. This also included a certain blonde Slytherin, who just entered the Great Hall where the ceremonies were about to start. With Pansy Parkinson to his left and Blaise Zabini to his right, they walked over to the Slytherin table.

When they were seated and waiting for the noise to calm down, Pansy turned to him. "Hey Draco, wanna know what I've heard?" Draco just looked at her out of the corner of his eye to let her know he was listening, when Pansy smirked a bit, "I've heard that Potter will be coming back to school this year."

At this, Draco looked surprised. He turned fully to Pansy and opened his mouth to say something when Blaise, who was sitting in front of them, beat him to it. "Scarhead? So he finally grew enough spine to come out of hiding." He said in a mocking way. Draco chuckled but then asked, "How did you get this piece of information anyway?"
"Well, before I met up with you I was walking through the hallways when professor Snape walked past me in a hurry and he was looking irritated, welll more irritated than usual. I heard him mumble something about 'bloody boy-who-lives' and 'no more peaceful days' before he disappeared out of my sight." Draco lifted an eyebrow, but didn't question further, already convinced that golden boy was indeed coming, since he also saw Mudblood and Weasel in a better mood than they had in the past two years. But, he didn't see Potter at their side.

Now, you might be wondering why it's such a big deal whether Harry Potter is coming to school, but you see, after 3rd year was over, he didn't come back for his 4th and 5th year. Why? No one really knows, except, of course, for the other two of the Golden Trio and Dumbledore. They refused to tell anybody the reason, but only said that he was doing something important and they shouldn't worry about him.

Obviously, the whole school was shocked when they heard the news, especially after they didn't see him at the opening ceremony that year. He was the talk of the first couple of weeks, but after that everything calmed down a bit. No one forgot about him though, because there where always things that reminded them of Harry. Like they would talk about how "the new seeker of Gryffindor isn't as good as Harry", or, "no one could piss Snape of as much as Harry did." Even Draco had to admit that it was quite a bit more boring without his daily doses of arguing and the accomplishment he would feel whenever he could embarrass the golden boy.

That all seemed to change now though, because Gryffindor's saviour was coming back.

Back at the Slytherin table, Draco was grinning evilly when he already thought of all the things he could do or say to make Potter look like a complete idiot this year.

But little did he know, that the little scrawny Harry Potter he always rivaled with would return completely different than he remembered.

Hey guys, so, this is my first fanfiction! Anyway, sorry it's short, but this is just a small prologue and the next chapters will be much, much longer.

Okay, so I would love to hear some feedback from you all, whether it's about my writing style or plot, please help me get better!

Bye~
