Liu Kang's MK1 fatality.

In MK1, people say that Liu Kang's cartwheel uppercut fatality is the worst fatality in the game. People say it's even worse on the fact that Liu Kang doesn't even kill his opponent.

I at least respect it. He's a shaolin monk who doesn't believe in killing. And is there really a bright side to him killing everyone. Here's a copy and paste from chapter 5 from Personal lives of Mortal Kombat.

Scorpion and Liu Kang

Scorpion stood staring angrily at Liu Kang

"What?" replied Liu Kang.

"Why do you have to be the canon winner of the first Mortal Kombat tournament?"

"Me! What's wrong with me?" frowned Liu Kang.

"You have the lamest fatality, ever! That cartwheel uppercut or whatever it's called doesn't even kill people!"

"I'm a Shaolin Monk, I don't believe in killing. Besides even if I did kill everybody in the tournament, We wouldn't have a video game series! Show some respect!"

Scorpion thought it over. "Touché, Liu Kang. Touche."

As well as that maybe Liu Kang not killing his opponent is the cruellest thing ever. How, just read on.

Liu Kang was fighting Johnny Cage in the Mortal Kombat 1 tournament. He had fought against Johnny pretty well.

"FINISH HIM!" An announcer shouted.

Liu Kang walked over and did his cartwheel fatality on Johnny Cage. He performed a cartwheel along with a powerful uppercut. Cage flew up in the air went flying in the air a short distance and came crashing on the ground.

"Liu Kang wins! Fatality!" shouted the announcer.

The audience clapped for Liu Kang.

As Liu Kang turned to leave. Johnny Cage opened his eyes. "I'm…I'm alive!"

Liu Kang turned to Cage. "Yes, friend I have spared your life as I do not believe in killing."

Johnny looked around. "I think I would have preferred the death."

Liu Kang raised an eyebrow. "Uhh…..Why?"

"Because cuntmaster, every bone in my body is broken! Do you have any idea how much pain I'm in!? I just fell a long distance on my back!"

"Well…" Liu Kang struggled.

"I'm gonna be in the hospital for months! That's gonna affect my movie shooting. You've ruined my career, you bastard! That's many months of boredom in the hospital!"

Liu Kang turned away. "Have a nice day."

"Get back here and finish me off, you wimp! I oughta chew your legs off!"
