A/N: I wrote this awhile ago but have decided to post in honor of the first real snow fall this year in my home town that decided to happen today. Reviews and constructive criticism are always welcome.

The snow swirls around him and yet there is no peace to be found here, for here is where she said she would be with him forever. How foolish to believe is such frivolities and yet here he was, patting the frozen ground covered in powdered white as if to invite her to sit.
And sit Tifa does.
How winter dances here.
Cloud smiles at her poetic words and watches as her eyes follow the snow flakes falling gracefully all around. She hugs her knees close to her chest in the midst of the winter ball.
It's colder than before.
Little puffs appear with each breath and he nods his head in agreement, the wind taking its cue to blow through their bodies and chill them each to the bone. He scoots closer to her and they share warmth without touching. It's not much but he knows she appreciates it, which she does with a grateful smile.
It's so quiet I can hear every sound as I waited for you.
Eyes enhanced so blue you lose your soul in them fall upon her. If her soul was not already lost, surely he would have it in this instant. Her shiver mixes with this fact added to the chill all around him and he places a hand on her arm, taking the cold away. She always was and still is happy at how he makes her feel at ease.
The second chance to tell you how I've missed you; I never thought I would have it.
Her smile could always lift his spirit and this time is no exception. The musings in her voice make his lips curve in a small smile, reminding him of the woman he used to hold an eternity ago, it seems.
My restless soul is longing.
The first words he has uttered to her put everything into perspective. How odd it feels to have his skin touching hers and yet to feel so out of place. He misses the times of before.
It seems so fitting don't you think, to dress the ground in white and grey?
A squeeze of her arm under his hand lets her know she's gone off topic. A deep sigh reminds her as to why.
Something deeper brought me than a need to remember.
He knew this. She knew this. And yet here they were like a couple of out of place teenagers knowing what comes next but not sure of how to go about it.
Moments lost and time remains.
She stands to take his hand and peace has fallen with the snow crystals still swirling around them. He knows it's time, and he does not recall a happier moment throughout his living days.
No pain remains, no feeling.
He takes her hand and becomes weightless as she is, as if able to float away on the wings of the wind's fancies. He holds on firmly and laughter passes her lips, washing over him in a wave of tranquility.
Eternity awaits.
The skies part, inviting these two kindred spirits into the never-ending embrace of forever beyond to be together, their love a mark on the world to remember what is most dear and to cherish every moment until the end of time.
As it was meant to be.
The End.
A/N: Snow doesn't make me sad but in the context of the time I wrote this, I was. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I have a weird writing style every now and then and don't intentionally confuse but it has been known to happen. Sorry for the yoda-type style, it just happens sometimes.
