Why stay silent?

I am Outcast. (4)

No more warnings. (9)

I keep my mouth shut. (9)

Nobody really wants to hear what you have to say. (9)

I see IT. (45)

IT is walking. (45)

IT is my nightmare,

And I can't wake up. (45)

IT sees me. (46)

IT smiles and winks. (46)

My throat burns. (5)

My lip bleeds. (5)

IT pulls away from me. (195)

ITs hand leaves my throat. (195)

I feel like I can fly. (186)

I said "no". (195)

This poem was all about speaking for yourself, just like the book. To say no, in the end, even though you are hurt. To talk for yourself and not take the injustice and fear from others. To be thrown out of your group and your comfort zone, but still find the will and strength to say no. That is why I wrote this poem, and what it means to me.
