in the DWverse it's somewhere after The Marriage of River Song, and in the Spnverse I reckon it's somewhere close before 5x04, or instead of it.
I own neither Doctor Who or Supernatural, sadly.
Dean stared at his phone for a moment before accepting the call.
"Doctor?"
"Dean!" the voice was different but the tone was exactly the same. "I've got a, well, I'd say 'thing' but it's a bit more than a thing, I suppose. You see, a lot of people are unhappy about the Apocalypse, and I'm getting calls for help all over the place, and—"
"You do realise that me and Sammy started the goddamned thing." Dean interrupted, pinching the bridge of his nose, exhaustion from the hunt catching up with him.
"'Sammy and I'," the Doctor corrected, "and yes, I do know that, but you're basically the only thing keeping things together on your end, so I figured you might be able to help. I mean, if you're busy, I suppose it can't be helped, but—"
"Doctor, you know I'll help."
"That is excellent to hear! You see, I'm between companions right now, so if you and your brother wanted to tag along for a while…" the Doctor trailed off, seeming to forget what he was going to say next, before gasping. "I didn't ask—how's Cas?"
Dean swallowed.
"Dean? Dean?"
"We… we're not talking."
"Oh, Dean, I'm so sorry."
"It's fine, just… stop talking about it, okay? Anyway, when are you coming r—"
The unmistakeable VWORP VWORP of the TARDIS cut Dean off, and he couldn't help the grin that spread across his face.
