Tom, Chris, Elise, and Sarah were all waiting for their orders.

"So Sarah you were kind of the prototype of Elise," Tom pointed out. "How was that backlash."

"Nobody really knows me because of how obscure the Sonic OVA is," she confessed. "The ones that do simply see me as a symptom of Japanese weirdness."

"Yeah I'm sorry about the hate you got Elise," Chris said. "I thought I was hated."

"It's fine, I'm making somehat of a come back these days. Many fans are looking at me for what I could've been. It's still largely hate but everyone needs some one to hate so I'll be that person," Elise said.

"At least you got to kiss Sonic." Everyone went quiet hoping Sarah would drop it. They all didn't want to be squicked out by her creepy hedgehog fetish.

"It's was suppose to be evocative of the Princess and the Frog," Elise excused after an uncomfortable silence.

"So," Tom continued on. "I'm kind of going to have the reverse of your relationship wire Sonic, Chris."

"Your right. Sonic acted as my pseudo parental-sibling figure and you are going to be some what of a mentor to a "delinquent" Sonic."

"I still can't believe that's how they are characterizing Sonic." Elise crossed her arms.

"Sonic's all about attitude. Could you not believe that a young Sonic could be considered a delinquent if placed in a society with order and laws. Not just Green Hill where the only would be authority is the tyrant Eggman." No one could deny the validity of Sarah's point.

"I guess your right, but Sonic is suppose to be very heroic and altruistic," Chris pointed out.

"I'm sure there are some misguided delinquents who have warm hearts," Sarah countered.

"How much hate can I expect?"

"Well maybe it'll be like Who Framed Rodger Rabbit and you'll become a beloved character."

"Let's be realstic Elise."

"I can guarantee you won't be as hated as Elise or Chris," Sarah answered.

"You'll probably just be a forgettable shoe horned in character," Chris added in.

"I think that's even worse than being hated."

"That's why I made peace with my status." Elise smiled knowingly at him.

"Here's to the movie," Tom said as their plates were being brought in.

"Here's to us obligatory human characters." Chris put a fist up.

The whole table chanted to that.
