Last Quarter

Chapter 1

As I sat there looking at Edward I knew I had made the right decision and if anything would ever to happen to him my life would fall apart and turn into dust.

" Are you alright Bella?" Edward asked me quietly as I sat looking into the night sky.

" I'm fine, I was just wondering what life would be like if I had never meet you" I replied.

" Well that is never going to happen because here we are happily married and have a child of our own."

I knew Edward was right but I couldn't take my mind off it because if I had never meet him I would probably be living the life of an average child, but life will never be like that for me now, considering I am a vampire and have a vampire family as well as a human family as well as a half human half vampire daughter I also have wolves as friends. Life will never be the same as it was before but I like it this way.

I went in to Rennesme's room, I saw her sleeping softly and soundlessly in her bed when I heard a knock at the front door. Edward answered it but to no surprise it was Jacob coming to check on Rennesme. He entered the room and I stood to one side letting him watch her sleeping.

As I left the room Edward grabbed me and took me into the living room because of a report on the television about what they think of an animal attack just outside La Push. As soon as I heard this I told Jacob and he went to go check that his family and friends are ok. This couldn't be good. I didn't want anymore hassle from vampires or wolves or anything I just wanted to be with my family and friends forever. Just as I was thinking this Rennesme woke up and so I went and got her and then went to the big house to see if they had seen the report on the television.

As we entered we could feel the room was tense and we could hear the television in the living room as Carlisle came to meet us in the hallway.

" Have you seen the news?" Carlisle asked

" Yes that is the reason we came over here. Do you know what it is?" Edward replied.

" No, but we think it is like what happened before with James, Laurent and Victoria."

This was bad news. We hardly got through it before but now they had another vampire. Me.

" Is it vampires?" I asked

" Most likely but we are not 100% sure because the footprints are completely different to the ones before." Carlisle answered.

" Is this a problem or a threat to us?" I asked.

" We are not sure but hopefully its nothing major that we have to deal with as long as you keep your eyes and ears open we should be alright." Carlisle calmly replied.

As we entered the other room Alice and Jasper we sitting on the couch, Rosalie lying on the floor, Emmett leaning his back on the wall and Esme leaning on a table, all of them staring at the television listening to what the reporters have to say. They didn't look round as I entered the room so I just stood there watching as well.

I was fascinated to hear what Carlisle said to Edward, who were in the other room. Carlisle had said that the thing that was killing these people were humans. Then they entered the room and Carlisle got everyone's attention.

"These killings have not been those of a vampire but of a plain human. I called the hospital and they have found that the scares on one of the bodies was done by a knife or a dagger. So it wouldn't of been a vampire because vampires don't use knifes or daggers, so me and Edward are going to go down to the hospital and check out the situation. The rest of you will stay here." Carlisle said.
