This takes place after the episode Noodles! Romain' Off!
I lay next to a very nervous looking Jessie on the grass outside our small cabin not far from viridian city.
"James?" She whispered.
"Yeah,"
Jessie got on her hands and knees crawling even closer to me. She stared for a while as I gave her a confused look.
"What is it? Why are you staring at me?"
"I.. Uh" she coughed nervously. "Never mind James,"
Jessie began to go back to where she was laying before I took hold of her wrist.
"Wait, Jessie come on tell me,"
She feel silent, now refusing to meet my eyes.
"Jess," I tried again pushing her face towards me with my hand.
"I-I.. Fuck, NOTHING I ALREADY TOLD YOU," she suddenly snapped smacking my hand away.
I gave her a hurt look but she only ignored it now walking back to the cabin. I ran behind her once again grabbing her wrist before she got to far.
"Let go James," she fumed.
"No! Your acting like I did something and if I did I want to know," I raised my voice holding her wrist more loosely.
She took my loose grip as a chance to run and began sprinting towards the cabin. Before she got out of reach I dived towards her knocking her of balance.
"Idiot! Get off," she yelled.
"Jessie! Please! Just tell me," I pleaded ignoring our new position.
"Why!"
"Because I can tell it's bothering you!"
"So what!"
"So what!? So I care about you!"
"You do.." Her voice softened.
"Of course, now please tell me" I softened my voice as well smiling at her.
Jessie realising there was no way out with my
pinning her down she began to tell he "J-James I just don't know. I feel..different around you and I don't know why,"
"W-what do you mean.." Now it was my turn to be nervous.
"I think I like you, it's not.. uh... love but it's something.. After you told me your life wasn't as bad dying young because you had me and Meowth, I just felt something and as soon as I knew it I- kept zoning out every time I looked at you. It's killing me James,"
To say the least I was shocked, a million different emotions were running through me all at the same time. But I knew which one I felt the strongest.
"Are you gonna say something!" Jessie scolded clearly embarrassed. "Your just sitting there like an-"
In an instant my lips were on hers. She tensed up at first not moving a muscle before relaxing into the kiss and wrapping her hand around my neck as I pushed my body closer to hers.
"You have no idea I've been waiting for you to say that," I grinned breaking for air.
Jessie was silent for a while before she pulled a fan out of nowhere and walked me in the head with it.
"That's for surprising me! And making me look like an idiot while you said nothing!" She scolded as a small smile twitched at the end of her lips. "And this is for everything else." Then Jessie kissed me on the cheek and headed towards the cabin this time not with me stopping her.
