Chapter 1:
June 18th, 1994
Todays my 4th birthday! Mommy and daddy brought me to the circus! And then daddy brought me to uncle Billy's fishing derby! Jake and Quil were there and I'm so excited! I'm saw a tiger and acrobears (I think that's what daddy called them.) But I also saw clowns I don't like them very much. But its okay because after I met Jakey and he makes me not scared. Me and Jake and Quil have been best friends since we were born! I don't really have any girl friends but daddy says that's ok because girls can be mean! I hope I'm never mean like that! Mommy and daddy are being really nice today, which I'm happy about because usually they fight and I don't like seeing them upset. Today was so fun! I caught a trout and a sunfish daddy was so proud of me! I think something's wrong though because mommy didn't come with us. I'm afraid mommy and daddy will get a device (the thingy mommy and daddies get when they don't like each other). I really don't want them to. Mommy always used to say your dad when talking about daddy but now all she does is call him Charlie and Daddy only calls her Renee. I birthday was so fun until the Derby but Jakey knew I was upset so he tried to keep me busy. He pushed me into the river and I got so wet (I'M SO MAD), but he also picked me flowers and bought me a lollipop since I didn't have a birthday cake. Well its 8:30 I should go to bed. Hopefully mommy and daddy will stop fighting.
