How does Andy Evans torment Melinda?
I see IT in the hallway.
IT is walking with Aubrey Cheerleader.
IT is my nightmare and I can't wake up.
IT smiles and winks.
IT goes to Merryweather.
Andy blows in my ear.
IT stares at my face.
IT sits on the table.
IT smears my chalk drawing
IT goes to Merryweather.
I am trapped with Andy Evans.
He stares at me without talking.
He cracks his knuckles.
He is made out of slabs of stone.
IT goes to Merryweather.
He grabs my wrists.
He pins me against the closed door.
His mouth is on my face.
He grabs me, pulls me away from the door, one hand over my mouth.
IT goes to Merryweather.

I choose this topic because I wanted to show how much Andy tormented Melinda. I feel that it was important to show that he was a big part in her not speaking. I also wanted to explain how much tormented and abused her in the novel. If you can understand and realize how much Andy took advantage of Melinda I feel that her situation will become more alive to you. In the book the author did not show as much emotion as I would have liked. If she would have written more in depth about how Melinda was feeling after each one of these situations we would understand the hatred Melinda had for Andy. I feel that my poem displays that.
