Long and rambling AU: I found this when I was searching through the saved documents on my laptop. So here it is, on FF. So this is one of those totally random things that isn't about anyone at all, where your characters are nameless and it only takes you 15 minutes to write the whole thing? So don't expect anything phenomenal, because it's not. And Pyrolyn-776, it's predictable. I know. But I wrote it a while ago. And I'm still working on that fabulous idea. It'll come to me. Someday.

You angrily wipe away the tears

Those hot, wet tears

The ones rolling down your cheeks

And betraying you.

You told yourself

To hold it together

Until you got away

Far away

From here.

But those tears keep coming

And it doesn't look like they're going to stop

Anytime soon.

One tear

Becomes two

And two becomes three

Three becomes four

And four becomes a thousand

And before you know it you're crying

Crying harder than you ever have before

And you're running

Because you don't want him to see you like this.

You run

And you cry

Until you see your house

It's coming up

Just around the corner.

And you're bursting through the door

And tripping up the stairs

And your bag is left on the floor

Because it doesn't matter.

And you slam the door shut

You lean against it

And slide to the floor

And you cry.

Cry.

Cry.

Your head is in your hands

And you cry

Because he doesn't want you

Even though you've wanted him

For three long years

And the one day

You finally get the courage

To tell him

That you love him

He laughs

And laughs

And laughs

And he tears you apart

Ripping you to shreds

And he doesn't even care.

He doesn't know your name.

Or your favorite color.

Your favorite movie

Or song.

He doesn't know that you love lilies.

Or that you almost drowned the summer you turned seven.

And he never will

Because he's him and you're you.

And it will never be.

And you realize this

And it only makes you cry harder

Because you love him

But he couldn't care less

About you.

But somewhere

In the middle of all this

Something is hitting your window

You try to ignore it

But it continues

So you look

And he is there.

((He has always been there.))

He's throwing rocks at your window

And he thinks your name is beautiful.

He knows your favorite color is yellow.

That you love Titanic

And can't go a day without listening

To Taylor Swift.

He gave you a Lily

When you turned nine

And he was there

The summer you nearly drowned

And he was the one

Who pulled you out of the water.

And he's always been there

((All along))

For as long as you can remember

Much longer

Than the boy who broke your heart.

And then you're outside with him

And he's holding you

As you cry

And you realize

That he'll never tear you to pieces

And he'll never forget your name.

And he will never forget

Your favorite color

Movie

Song

And he'll never give you anything but Lilies

Or forget that summer you both turned seven

And he'll always pull you out

When the water gets too deep.

And he'll always be there

For you.

And now you can't even remember

What was so great about

What's-His-Name

In the first place.
