Bella POV

RINNNGGGG!!! The bell sounded through the class room. It startled me a little, considering I was half asleep and bored to tears. I jumped up grabbing my books, anxious to see Edward. But, of course, being me, I had to trip over my chair. An unfamiliar pair of arms caught me around the shoulders, then we-who ever the person was-stumbled backward. I looked up to see a shaken Mike.

"Erm, sorry. Um, thanks, Mike." I peeled his arms off me, because he seemed to want to hold on longer than I wanted him to.

"It's okay, Bella. Your welcome." He replied in a way too cheery voice. I turned and walked away, even though I knew he wasn't going to leave me alone.

"So Bella, it's Friday night, want to go to a movie or-" It seemed like it took forever for me to reach Edward, even though he was only standing across the hall. He glared at Mike and let out a low growl. For some odd reason, Mike was still standing there. Doesn't that idiot understand that I have a boyfriend? Edward wrapped his arms protectively around me and spoke to Mike in a cold voice.

"Actually Mike, she has plans. With me." I looked up at Edward, and he looked really angry. Well, more angry then he usually is with Mike. It was usually just annoyance. I wondered what Mike was thinking that made him so mad.

"Hey, man, I know what you're thinking," I mentally snorted, because it was Edward who knew what HE was thinking. Mike continued, "Who said it was a date?" This time, Edward snorted.

"Of course you're planning on it being a date! Just you and her alone at the movies. What else would you call it?!" Edward was fuming, so I laid a calming hand on his arm. He relaxed a little.

"Edward, let's just go home," I said quietly. He ignored me. Then Mike spoke again. Where was he getting these guts from?

"C'mon! It's not like she's yours! Let her go out with one of her friends!" Oh. My. God. How could he possibly think like that?

"If you haven't noticed Mike, she's my girl. My girlfriend. Even if she wasn't my girlfriend, we have plans tonight. Now get lost!" Alright now they were just arguing over me like I was a toy. But before I could say anything, Edward did something I never would have expected him to do to a human. He shoved Mike, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but with Edward being a vampire, it really was. Mike slammed into the lockers not hard enough to hurt him, but hard all the same. I gasped.

"Edward! How could you do that! You could seriously hurt him! We are going. Now." I grabbed his hand. I guess Edward decided he was done because he didn't argue, but Mike had other plans. He ran up and shoved Edward from behind. Edward didn't budge. He just laughed. I spun around.

"Mike! I am done with you! Stop asking me out! I'm never going to say yes! Don't bother us again! And maybe this will get it through your thick skull that Edward and I are together!" I turned and kissed Edward full on the lips, more passionately than we usually kissed in public. Edward wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up. After a few seconds he put me down. Mike was standing there, shocked. I smirked. Maybe that will keep him away! When we got to the Volvo, instead of opening the door for me, Edward pressed me against it.

"I love seeing you angry. It's cute." His famous crooked grin flashed on to his face, almost drawing me away from the comment.

"Hmm? Let's see if you think the same of this," I replied. And then I kissed him.

"Nope. Definiteley not cute," he murmured against my lips.
