Summary: It was just another day for Naruto, but who knew by the end of the day, he'd be killing zombies and fighting for his live in zombie land?
Prologue
Naruto POV
I knew the minute I opened my eyes that morning everything would change. Something about that day seemed eerie. Who knew that in one day, that the world would change, flesh eating zombie would take over the world. My mom used to tell me that someday I'll be good at something, who knew it was zombie killing.
Who knew by the need of the afternoon, I would have smashed a dozen of my schoolmates and teacher's heads in? This was so fuck up! In a zombie land fighting for our lives was the way we lived, in our tight nit group our saying was' truth no one and have each other backs'. I can't tell you how many times, I had to kill just to keep from dying. Killing was our way of keeping sane in zombie land.
Takashi our team leader, time and time and again lead us to victory, keeping us together—from falling apart. In zombie land there was no such thing as love or family, because it was every man for them self. But they were the closest thing I had to a family. Despite the craziness I mange to find love in my shy class mate. However, I wasn't the only one fighting for her attention. My best friend/ worse nightmare fall for her as well. Damn that Uchiha. I snorted, gazing up the clear blue sky. There wasn't a zombie in site. We were heading to Saya's place first. I sat up on the roof of the HumVee while Rei and Takashi sat not too far from me.
"For once we can enjoy the peace and quiet." Rei said.
I smiled. I had to agree with her. It was peaceful. Just when I was about to close my eyes, I heard Kohta's voice snapped me awake.
"Zombies 30 feet away!"
Then out of nowhere the HumVee sped up as Takashi and I grabbed Rei and took cover.
"Make a left!" Saya cried.
"Naruto, Rei, Takashi, hang on!" Sakura cried. I could do nothing but grip Rei tighter. The car made another sharp left, and soon, zombie surround the HumVee like a moth to a light.
"Stop the car!" Saeko suddenly shouted. I watched in horror as the car, sped out of control, slamming into the huge wire, heading straight for the wall. Zombie guts everywhere.
"Hit the damn break!"
The HumVee suddenly jolted to a halt as Rei lunged forward, at the same time Takashi and I tried to reach for her but she slipped from our grasp.
"Rei!"
Yep, just another day in zombie land.
