I have no idea who the narrator is other than the person is a Talon.

Victory…
An empty victory but a victory nonetheless….
Yeah…right.
We win and we're still punished. I guess it's not enough for her. We finally have those Sky Knights back on their heels and all we receive is a dressing down—to put it mildly.
You work hard to obtain that victory and no one seems to care, oh, but lose and they're all over you like the proverbial moth.
Of course with her, unless it's complete victory you may as well have lost.
Sometimes I wonder who's worse, her or her father. I'd say that right now, it's pretty even.
I know what I'm doing is wrong, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're right. If Cyclonia is defeated, which it will be, what will they do with us? Kill us? Throw us in prison and leave us to rot? Or will they actually give us a second chance?
The "good guys" don't always do the right thing. They're no better than we are, even though a lot of them think they are.
We don't live on different worlds. Cyclonia is just as much a part of Atmos as Atmosia or Terra Rex is. They are not separate entities.
Cyclonians are as much a part of Atmos as Atmosians are. And Talons as much as Sky Knights.
Yes, I know people shouldn't be living in slavery, they should be free. None of us are here to be oppressed by others; but unfortunately, that's the way it is; the entire world wallowing in its sin, its sea-of-self, believing that it's right and all that oppose it are wrong. And I was wrong; believing that what I was—and still am—doing is right, that Cyclonia is right.
I know what you're thinking. Well, if you know that what they're doing is wrong then why don't you just leave?
It's not that easy.
Your answer: Yes, it is.
No, it's not. People who have not been in my position can never understand.
It's not that I can't leave or don't want to. I can and I do.
But it's not that simple.
If I am to do what's right I have to start right here—with my own people.
They might not be important to them—or her—but they are to me. Even if none of them believe me.
So I'll stay here and do what's right, even if I'm killed for it.
If I am punished for a victory…then so be it.
I'm no longer going to fight fire with fire. I know it's cliché; but if you do, you'll only end up with ashes.
That's something both sides need to learn.
We are one. And until all of Atmos accepts that, ashes will continue to fall.

This is not what I had intended to write. It started out to be me using a character to rant about something but turned out to be something completely different. (starts pouting) I wanted to rant. Grrrr...
