Rin had been with Sesshomaru-sama for a long time now. She had stayed with him ever since he rescued her from death. She had seen him on his happy days, sad days, angry days, annoyed days… And she knew exactly how to tell his mood. By his hn's.
When he was angry, he didn't even bother to reply so she knew. Sesshomaru-sama is angry. I'd better leave him alone.
When he was happy, or in a relatively good mood, he would give a small smile with his 'hn' and let her put a flower crown on his head. Then she would know, Sesshomaru-sama is happy today. I can make him look even prettier today!
Sad days didn't often come but when she had opened her eyes when the Lady Mother used her Meido stone to get her soul back, she knew, Sesshomaru-sama has been sad. I wonder if he was sad because of me…
Jaken-sama was the one who made him annoyed. When Jaken-sama started his sniveling, Rin knew, and her suspicion was confirmed when she asked him a question and he breathed out loudly before giving a curt 'hn'. Jaken-sama is going to get another lump on the head soon…
There was another special kind of day, the Inuyasha day. That was when he would sniff the air and his nose would wrinkle up like he'd just smelled a bad smell and she would know that Inuyasha or Naraku was near. Then he would fly off and Jaken-sama would start his shouting again.
But she liked him best on the days when he was calm and peaceful…the days that they would spend travelling around and she would ask for permission to get food and he would respond with an unruffled look on his face. She didn't like the days when her lord was fighting or the days when he was angry because it made her feel what her lord felt, too. So she decided to always make him happy and try to not get it trouble. But trouble always managed to find her somehow…
