Miracle: A Harry/Draco songfic

A/Note: This takes place in their sixth year, with minor changes to canon, like the fact that Draco IS good, JK just messed it up. Harry's POV

We all knew Dumbledore was crazy, but what kind of music was he playing? I nudged Dray, and we began a running commentary on the new song starting up.

"Boy meets girl
You were my dream, my world"

"Oh it's always boy meets girl, isn't it, Dumbledore? No respect at all for the gays!" Dray smirked as I yelled.


"But I was blind
You cheated on me from behind"

Dray came up with a good one for this: he liplocked with me and then ran up behind Blaise and pretended to grind behind him. The school hooted so much that we had to shush them, especially the Weasley twins, to hear the next part.


"So on, my own, I feel so all alone
Though I know, it's true,
I'm still in love with you"

On a stroke of inspiration, I knelt down before Dray and mock-proposed. I fawned and he blushed, and then we stood up and danced around for the chorus.


"I need a miracle, I wanna be your girl
Give me a chance to see, that you are made for me!
I need a miracle, please let me be your girl,
One day you'll see, it can happen to me!"

We danced a country square dance, and then shimmied up and down. The teachers were outright laughing now, and Dumbledore himself was the only one scowling.

"Day and night
I'm always by your side"

Dray smirked as he grabbed my hand and spun me around, like the planets turning.


"Cause I know for sure
My love is real my feelings pure"

I grabbed my heart like I was having a spasm, and Dray pretending to apply CPR, ending with a long, passionate kiss that lasted through the next two lines.


"So take a try
No need to ask me why"

So Fred and George took over, dancing together, with Fred's hands around his twin's waist, singing in high voices.


"Cause I know it's true…" The entire school sang the next line as a whole


"I'M STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU!" But it must be admitted that Harry and Draco sang loudest, although Fred and George belted out the line with everyone else.


"I need a miracle, I wanna be your girl
Give me a chance to see, that you are made for me!"

Ron grabbed Hermione's hand and joined in, as the group was now almost moshing in the middle of the Great Hall. Several more couples joined us, and Dray was pushed into me, so I grabbed his waist and spun him around, singing the lines loudly, ecstatic that he sang them back to me.


"I need a miracle, please let me be your girl!
One day you'll see, it can happen to me, can happen to me!"

And finally, on the last line, when all pandemonium struck, Dumbledore intervened.

"SILENCE!"

But it was too late, and my shirt was laying on the floor, Dray had somehow stealthily removed it, and upon realizing this, the girls of Hogwarts gave a scream so shrill that it was heard in Muggle Britain. Snape gave Dray and me double detention for a month.
