Damn the Bee!
[Scene: A park. Mulder and Scully are sitting opposite one another at a picnic table in late spring reading case files. A slight breeze causes Scully's hair and various papers to flutter. After a minute of silence, a bee buzzes around them and lands on the table between Mulder and Scully.]
Scully looks up momentarily from her work and does a double take when she sees
the bee sunning himself on Mulder's abduction case. Without a moment's
hesitation, she begins to viciously stab the offending insect with the end of
her pen.
Mulder, afraid for the welfare of his file places his hand on hers and shakes
his head 'no'. She frowns, collects her papers and starts to walk
away.
Out of view from the camera, Mulder picks up one of the large volumes that he
was reading and slams it down on the poor bee with a resounding THUD before
quickly joining his partner. They share an understanding look and sit at a different
table.]
