Samarai of the West Tower Part 1
Disclaimer: Don't own this stuff.
Narrator: After Link returned from Termania, he continued
his quest for Navi. Upon riding Epona for a few days, he discovered a small
dirt path leading towards the fringes of the Lost Wood. When he came to
the end, a sign reading "West Tower" in faint ancient lettering pointed
to his west. Having no clue where else to search, he decided to check it
out.
Link: 77 bottles of beer on the wall, 77 bottles of beer,
take o- (spies audience staring at him) Um... off to see the tower, the
wonderful tower of west. We hear it is a tower of a tower if ever a tower
there was...
Narrator: Epona slowly trotted along, until they came
to a large gate. There was a large man dressed in shining armor standing
there.
Man: Who goes there?
Link: I'm Link, Hero of Time, friend of the Goddess of
Time.
Man: Friend of her you may be, but that will not assure
your welcome into this land. No longer do we hold her with great respect.
Link: How dare you! (Draws Gilded Sword from sheath)
Man: Peace, I have no quarrel with you.
Link: Very well, but give me my pass.
Man: Hmmph. Why should I, you have not treated me with
the respect due to me.
Link: Why should I respect you?
Man: Do you not know who I am?
Link: Ummmm..... there's only one person as mean as you've
been acting! You're Bill Clinton!
Man: Err...... no! I am Ariki, Samarai of the West Tower.
Link: Oh are you now! I challenge you to a duel.
Ariki: Ha! A pipsqueak like yourself will be easy.
Link: I've trashed Ganondorf and Majora's Mask.
Ariki: Impressive, but they would not be worthy to lick
the mud off of my boots!
Link: If you duel even a minute fraction as well as you
boast, I'll be the son of a Cucco.
Ariki: A son of a Cucco you will be. (Draws a long crooked
blade)
Narrator: So they dueled, Link slashed in and out with
his blade, and managed to deflect most of the samarai's slashes. But, Ariki
had only been exagerrating a little bit, he was a great swordsman, maybe
even better than Link himself. Link was tiring, but Ariki showed nothing
more than sweat on his brow. Link managed to get onto Epona and leap the
gate, racing by Ariki. Ariki whistled, and a large black bird appeared,
which the samarai climbed on. He gave no pursuit to Link, but flew towards
the small, squat stone building in the distance.
Link: Who ran away, me or him? Why didn't he follow me?
(Puzzled, he continues to follow the path. He spies the building in the
distance, but it can't possibly be the tower, could it?)
Narrator: Link was then approached by a couple of strange
looking creatures. They attempted to steal Epona, but they were afraid
of the sun that Link deflected off of the Mirror Shield.
Zokkos: We are sorry sir, we will give you directions
in exchange for you letting us go.
Link: (Looks them over) Very well, what building is that
over yonder?
Zokkos: (Run away, but one yelled back over his shoulder)
The ancient fort!
Link: Strange... (Rides off)
Zokkos: He's walking straight into a trap! We'll get that
horse one way or another.
