Disclaimer; I don't' own the Thunderbirds or any character in the
series...Blah blah blah...
Since I had very good reviews on "Miss you" I decided to begin a series describing every main character of the series as they have the blues for a reason or another.
* This one goes out to these tough siblings of mine; Kathleen, Laurent, Sylvain, Florent Pascal and Kathy. ( They' re not really my brothers and sisters, but anyway...) *
-"Thunderbirds are go!"
Gee! These are the three most painful words to me. You used to say that, to me. Now, I am at your desk. Yes, I still call it your desk even if you've been gone for a few weeks now. I will always call it your desk. I will always be yours, you earned it.
You were a man, a father, a philanthropist, a leader and so much more. You changed the World with International Rescue, dad. What the rest of the world would not even take the chance to try to do, you done it. You had the guts to believe in an utopia. I don't know much people that would dare to dream, try and make something like that.
I have to make that wonderful reality that you made, go on. How the Hell can I possibly be all that you' ve been, on my own!
-/Base from Thunderbird Two, base from Thunderbird Two. Come in, Scott./
Dammit! I feel like crying right now, but I just cant' show it. Not only because we're on a mission, because I am on charge now! I've always been. The others rely on me. I know how that game is, we've all been playing it since mom's death! Gordon looks upon Alan, Virgil looks upon Gordon, John looks upon Virgil and I look upon all of them. Who's been looking over me? I' ve been looking over them all along, even at your funeral, even as we watched your coffin being laid down in your tomb.
And his pattern only got clearer and harder when we started to make rescues! As if it was not enough, our lives depended on each other, especially on me!
Now what the hell am I doing. Sorry dad, I'm sorry to not be as tough as you were. You never cried on the job, did ya?
-Dad?
-Frank? You should be in bed ( and not see me crying) right now!
I'm busted by that grandson of yours. He surprised me crying on your desk at ten p.m. while leading a mission. He's just so fine, smart and healthy. I'm so proud of him! Someday, maybe this will be his place. At least, he wont' have to feel just about me just like I feel about you right now.
You've left me with damn big shoes to fill, dad. I'm broken and tired, but I'll do all I possibly can to fill them. I don't see what else I could do anyway.
