"Alice, listen to me! It's not safe for us to be here, anymore. Bella is in danger! And on top of that, Carlisle is posing as a 33 year old, it's apparent he's no more than 25!" Edward shouted at me. "Then change Bella! Isn't that the logical answer? Bella will be heart-broken. I really don't think this is a good idea, Edward.."

"I refuse to do that to her. I'm no good for her, and if we stay, who knows what'll happen? What if we can't restrain Jasper next time? What if Emmett loses control?!"

"Jasper feels horrible about this, Edward. He feels like it's his fault. For you to bring him into this -" Edward cut me off. "Don't you see? It IS his fault! I love Jasper like a brother, but it's his fault that Bella almost died! In some ways, I am thankful that he did it, though. It made me realize that I've been endangering Bella."

"Fine, you leave, Edward. I am not leaving Bella, she's like a sister to me. I'm sure Esme won't leave, either. Did you think of her, Edward? Did you think of your mother? Your taking a child from Esme. We all will miss her, even Rosalie. Your hurting more than yourself, Edward. It's not what's best for Bella."

"You don't know anything, Alice. Take Jasper and go up to Denali." I looked away, fighting the sobs that threatened to break out. "Listen to me, Alice! Take Jasper, and never return here. Don't contact her! It'll be easier for her."

I slapped Edward, "You're an incredibly selfish creature, Edward. I still don't see how you can do this to her." I spat at him. I dashed up the stairs and locked myself in my room.

Later

"Bella, we're leaving"

"But why now? Another year-"

I couldn't take it anymore. I ran through the woods, to Denali. Losing a friend, supposed-to-be-sister, and a brother.
