"Here you go, Vaughn-san," Ceffiena said, pouring a him some red wine.

"Thanks," he said. Vaughn was impressed with how much Ceffiena's grown. There was a new air about her. What had happened to her that day?

Ceffiena's father, Regis, was giving Vaughn the death glare.

They were at a party in town on Himawari Island. They were celebrating the safety of the island, which narrowly avoided being sunken by crops for whatever reason the villagers will never know, but they all did their best and saved the island. All the wonderful food cooked by Pierre, the Gourmet. Everyone was having fun. Well, almost everyone…

Vaughn was just a simple cowboy. Ceffiena was a wealthy girl, who's father owned a big mining company. And he did not take lightly to "mere commmers".

"Ceffiena, dear, I refuse to believe to believe you are acquainted with this… trifle excuse for a cowman!" Regis exclaimed. He kinda looked like a vampire. Heck, his eyebrows even looked like bats.

"Father!" Ceffiena yelled. Well, yelling for her. She's way too soft-spoken. "Vaughn-san is my friend, and I don't intend on you calling him that! … And in front of him, too!"

"Hrmm… Ceffiena… Okay…" Regis sulked.

Vaughn smirked, a smile for him, blushing a bit, when he saw a certain-someone with a red bandana and brown hair dash towards Danny's house. Was she listening? Why was she going to Danny's house? Danny was over by the Carpentry House with Lily, serving fish dishes. If she was with Danny… you don't even wanna know.

So Vaughn went over to Danny's place and saw Chelsea. She turned and saw Vaughn. She looked like she was about to cry.

"Oh, Vaughn," she sniffed, wiping away any possible tears. "So, um, what do you want?"

What do I want? Vaughn thought.

"What are you doing here?" he asked. "There's a party over there."

"Funny," she faked a smile, "that's what I said to you at the beach not even an hour ago."

"Just answer," he had a worried expression on his face.

"I, um… You and Ceffiena… I'm sure you'll be happy together!" It was almost a question. She turned back around.

Chelsea… "There's nothing between us." But she ignored him.

"Today… with Shiva…and you…" she turned around again and stared at him with her big, blue eyes, "…and the island…Out there on the beach earlier… And all those times you smiled for me?" She was really crying now, and almost yelling. "I thought there was something between us, Vaughn! Was all of that fake?" Vaughn grimaced and Chelsea, sobbing, started to run out of Danny's house.

But Vaughn grabbed her wrist and pulled her up to him, and pinned her to the wall.

"Don't look at me like that," and he kissed her. When they stopped, Vaughn said, "No, it wasn't. I'll keep smiling for you and stay by you side forever. I love you, Chelsea."

"Vaughn…" Chelsea mouthed. She was still crying, but they were happy tears, now, and they fell asleep on each other on Danny's floor.

A/N: Looking back on this now, it's rather short for my liking (but then again it was my first try at fanfiction and it's cool to see how much I've improved). It also may be confusing why only Sabrina was using honorifics. Well, she's the only one being polite. Vaughn wasn't addressing Chelsea with honorifics, either because he doesn't care about them or he is close to her. No one else is addressed with honorifics because no one else is addressed in dialogue. Regis is typically a well-mannered man but he does act this way in the Vaughn/Sabrina proposal event. Sabrina actually standing up and scolding him is something that really gets him down! I think Vaughn may be the person to have built her confidence enough to do that (but I'm sure she had no problem with her dad before anyway). I also wonder why I'd used Vaughn versus Valuts when I was using everyone's Japanese names. I didn't want this to come off ass weaboo-ish but I hope it helps with what I always personally felt fit the setting. Haha, I'm rather biased, so sorry for that.
