"Bobby what's this?" Alex asked, eying the small wrapped gift on the dresser as she was getting ready.
"It's just a little something I saw and thought you'd like. Go on open it." He urged hoping that his hunch would be correct. He knew she didn't wear a lot of jewelry but this was just a simple necklace.
"Oh Bobby, it's beautiful, are these our birthstones?" She asked noting the three different colored stones set into the silver. He crossed the room and took the piece from her, deftly hooking it around her neck. His hands caressed her shoulders sending a shot of heat through her body.
"Yeah and there's room to put at least one more…" Bobby trailed off knowing he was stepping into unsure territory. Alex quickly put his mind at ease by turning and pulling him into a heated kiss. Ending the kiss reluctantly Bobby stepped away.
"Come on, or were going to be late, and you know Mike and Carolyn would never let us live it down." He said pulling his suit jacket on as he stepped from the room. Alex caught up to him quickly.
"We will discuss that fourth stone eventually." She said firmly, calling for Travis, as they'd have to drop him at the sitters, before going back into the city for dinner.

A/N: This came to me after seeing some screen shots from Tuesday's episode, wherein Alex is wearing a delicate looking necklace that I'd not noticed before. Anyway, there you have it, review and let me know what you think.
