Every time she falls in love, there is a flicker of fear in her heart. Fear that it wouldn't last. All her failed relationships flash before her eyes. She's been hurt to many times before she just doesn't want to live in the past anymore. Suffering so much pain inside all alone.
Always reaching out for something she will never have. Love escapes from her grasp like smoke from a burning log. Every bonfire she wishes for love so true. A love that would not run from her. To stand against all the odds with her. To have what every girl dreams of: to run off into the sunset.
Yet the chains that bind her to the ground tighten it's hold on her heart. Never to find peace. That is why she's made a different wish. Well more like a prayer. A prayer to the gods that turn their back on her family and herself.
That doesn't stop her, each night when she lies in bed. She silently prays. Instead to the gods like she once use to. She prays to the angels above. Pleading for one to grace her life with devotion and love; for an angel to fall from grace just to be with her.
When he does appear it's a secret affair. One that the gods and devils will never allow or deem honorable. They can either fight or take flight. It depends on the time. But it always falls to flight.
Marcel has been her angel she reaches out each damn night and dreadful morning. Always longing for him… Waiting for him with open arms... Always waiting in the dark alone... Like a frighten child, alone in the world.
Rebekah's tired of lingering on the sidelines alone. Time and several of partners have scared her views in love and honor. Somehow she always ends up praying each night to the angel. Praying for Marcel to return... Praying for an Angel to save her from herself.
