After today's chapter, I kind of needed to write something sweet. Hope you guys enjoy this small piece of Jerza.
"Jellal."
"Hmm?"
"When are you planning on getting off me?" Erza asked, slightly embarrassed from the man's actions. His hair was tickling her bare legs and it wasn't uncomfortable so to say, but she wouldn't deny the nervousness that she was feeling. Really, how did she end up agreeing to give him a lap pillow?
"But it feels so nice. Relax a little Erza," he told her. He looked directly in her eyes and touched her tensed face. His hand was slightly rough, but warm. She felt herself falling into his peace. "See? Doesn't it feel better?"
Erza smiled a little. The wind was gentle, the air was fresh, and the aura of the beautiful nature was nothing short of peaceful. She allowed herself to absorb the refreshing atmosphere. "Yeah, it is."
The wind was playing with her hair, making it dance. Jellal grabbed one of the flying locks in his hand. Oh, how he loved her hair. It reminded him of her. The bright strands were soft, but the color was fierce.
But with all the strength she has build up, with all the fierceness that she's gained over the years, Erza knew that she needed someone to lean on. She was not all powerful; she was strong, but not invincible. He understood that, he respected her, he knew that she did not need protection for a good part of the time, yet he supports her. Even when they're apart, they support each other, just like right now.
Erza, though her legs were becoming numb and her heart was thumping from nervousness, enjoyed the situation. Her hand subconsciously began to finger Jellal's tattoo. That tattoo was always with him. With it being the same color as her hair, it was almost like she was with him. But she will never disappear from him. After all, she is his light, no matter what.
Light is powerful, light can become hope, hope can become strength, strength can become power. Those two are truly connected to each other because they are each other's strength.
"Jellal," she called out.
"Hm?" He enjoyed the feeling of her soft hand. It was so hard to forget to that this was the hand that could wield heavy swords that can be just as tall as her and take down men that are twice her size.
"We should do things like this more often," she suggested, with a faint blush on her face, but her smile wide.
He smiled peacefully. In his eyes there was only her."Yeah. Just let me use your lap again."
Erza chuckled slightly, the soft sounds were beautiful music to his ears. "Sure."
