L x Light: The Start of Forever 3

"I knew it was you, Light. I knew you had to be Kira all along," spoke L, to no one but himself. For, he was alone in a cold room, accompanied only by his thoughts. Always thinking; always searching. The answer to the Kira question had refused to elude him, and no matter how hard he tried to suppress the inconvenient truth, it came back more painful than before. Light was Kira, no doubt about it- but then again, he was a lot of other things as well: a student, a son, a brilliant mind. A friend, a man… The one all the girls love to love. Hell, the one all the boys hate to love, too. (; But could he somehow mean something more to Ryuzaki? The answer had to be yes. Why else would he deny Light's involvement with the mass killings of criminals? More than that though, why did L yearn for Raito's gaze; his touch? His imagination was interrupted by the opening of a door, and the quiet tapping of shoes against tile.
"Ryuzaki? Is that you?" It was Light that spoke now, as he reached the chair L was seated in. "What are you doing up so late?" he asked, but L could not respond. He could think only of the warmth he felt in being near him. Overwhelmed by the fantasies within him, L Lawliet leaped from his traditional stature, and tackled Raito to the ground. "W- What the- Ryuzaki, what are you doing?!" he yelled with resistance that vanished as quickly as it had come.

"Give into me," L whispered, and nibbled Light's ear. As if Light were under Lawliet's control, he instantly obeyed. He didn't know what had overcome L or himself, but the contentedness far outweighed the shock. Raito became full. Clear. Within him he knew that this is what he'd been waiting for. Not a perfect world or the chance to become a god, but L. And so, the lamb ignited a passion within the lion-and eyes of liquid topaz melted with sleek onyx. The two men intertwined themselves as much as their bodies allowed, and waited for dawn to break.
"I love you is not enough," Light said quietly. A long pause. A passionate gaze.
Ryuzaki's lips formed the words "Forever- that's a promise," before sleep captured them both into innocence.
A sunrise. A new day. The start of forever.
