To talk about

The idea of this story came from one of my other stories. Having Teuchi say the line in this particular story triggered an idea I guess.
With Naruto away, the Ichiraku Ramen always seemed empty.
People always came and went, of course. Teuchi's business did not rely on one boy alone. It was just that he didn't have the regulars that always made his day. The one's he would talk about when he discussed how work was.
That is, until, the frequent visits of a certain lazy boy and his friend started to occur.
"Thanks Teuchi," Temari said, breaking the owner's thoughts. He watched the girl begin eating her ramen.
The old man smiled. "Welcome, Temari."
She eyed the one next to her, and elbowed him sharply.
"Ow!" Shikamaru shouted, rubbing the area hit. Temari looked from him to Teuchi.
Shikamaru sighed. "Yeah, thanks old man."
Another blow to the side. Shikamaru groaned.
"Thanks...Teuchi."
Teuchi grinned, before breaking into a laugh. "Any time, kid."
Temari frowned at Shikamaru. "Learn some manners, lazy ass. The kind man gave us these for free."
"You should learn to be more feminine, you troublesome girl. You're too aggressive."
Temari prepared for another punch, but Teuchi managed to intervene.
He laughed nervously. "Save it for the field kids."
Temari cooled down and sighed. "Sorry again, Teuchi."
She went back to her meal and ate, being watched carefully by Shikamaru. He had a sense of happiness in his eyes, and Teuchi could clearly see it.
Temari obviously could not.
She looked at him looking at her. "What?"
Shikamaru attempted to hide what his eyes gave away, but the old man could still see it.
"You eat so...messily, woman."
She rolled her eyes. "At least I'm eating the food. Yours hasn't even been touched.
"Why do you care if I eat or not?"
"I don't. What I do care about is you being polite to Teuchi and eat your food."
Teuchi laughed again, breaking the argument and forcing their eyes on him.
He chuckled again. "To be young and in love. How I miss that."
They're eyes widened. "No no no no no," they began, before talking simultaneously, muttering different forms of defence.
Teuchi just stood there, smiling. "Of course not," he replied to their unintelligent rambling. "What would I know? I'm just an old man who watches the two of you do the same thing every time you come here."
They sat there silently, blushes formed slightly.
His smile remained. "Now, don't you two have to be at a meeting now?"
Shikamaru broke the silence. "Uh, yeah, Temari. Let's go."
"Right," she nodded, Trying to conceal her blush. She began her walk. "Thanks again, Teuchi."
"Yeah," Shikamaru smirked. "Thanks again old man."
As they walked off into the distance, Teuchi returned to cooking.
"No," he began out loud, smiling mockingly. "They don't like each other. Not at all"
End.
