A changed son

Izuku was nervous.

From the short wimp he was before, was now a tall fighting machine with skin and hair condition girls would KILL to have, and a 'great smile' as all of them had a dental appointment in LIFE to give their pearly-whites a good fixing. Cleaned, whitened, and straightened with no crookedness and tooth gap as good looks are part of a hero appeal.

'This is it...I don't even have time to go home to greet my mom since Naruko just had to drop me off in front of school to boot...' Izuku took a deep breath...and went in.

Had he been his old self, he would have been excited.

But Naruko taught him well.

Too well.

Because she's known how nasty people can be, their mentalities her students are of the opinion she's hardly seen and met good people in her whole life when they talked behind her back while she was out food hunting in their early days.

Nea would say she was a very sad person who 'clearly had it hard'. Sure she has a hero who saved her, but her hero was lost through betrayal, a tale she wouldn't elaborate on but she was determined to find and save him to repay him.

This person was Terra, a Keyblade Master who chose Riku as his heir. Naruko showed them what Terra looked like by transforming herself. The young man who was around Kanda's age in looks, was Naruko's hero.

She taught them wisdom of 'the worst' and how to handle it in a 'mature setting' that they come out as the better person, and to never take anything for granted, and always being thankful for what they were given and what they get.

Yup, poor girl's never known the bright side of life their Master was a sad person.

He is able to calm down.

Before, he'd react to being a hero like a typical kid his age, but now...with Naruko's sort of wisdom, he knows better.

Right now as his chosen hero name 'Surprise Guy' due to being an Alchemist who can use damn near anything and got ninja training - something she did NOT tell the other boys about though they got the same training, just that nature unknown, he can do this.

He possessed bracers of various metals on his person as equipment as in Entrance Exams, anything goes, anything allowed as long as its not illegal. Naruko got them for him. While worlds are different, it appears they all possess the same materials. However, he was warned to watch out for his magical power limits.

There is no such thing as Ether potions in his world. He would try to see if Energy drinks or if resting works to restore his magical energy.

He was back to his mumbling habits thus.

He hadn't had the chance to study anything other than wood and concrete! He hadn't even had the chance to study metals!

Darn...

For now, he turned himself invisible.

After all, Kacchan thinks he's not gonna come since he went AWOL from school...he'll surprise him.

He's no longer his punching bag anymore.

Naruko really cracked down on him for his bully issues and read him his Human Rights and what he endured, was utterly inexcusable try as he might to struggle in keeping his rose-tinted glasses on. Wrong is still wrong.

'I'll be a better person worthy of being a hero for sure.' he swore. 'I'm not gonna shame your teachings and the Quirk you gave me.'

Quirk his ass. Its magic but he gotta call it a Quirk.

The Stage Speaker was the Hero Present Mic who has a popular radio show every week he always listened to.

He wasn't a hero nerd and fanboy for nothing, but he missed a lot in ten months, darn it!

/WELCOME TO TODAY'S PERFORMANCE!/ Present Mic greeted happily. /EVERYBODY SAY HEEY!/

Awkward silence much to the man's awkwardness.

"Epic fail." Izuku sweatdropped.

/W-WELL THAT'S COOL MY EXAMINEE LISTENERS,/ P. Mic bounced back, /I'M HERE TO PRESENT THE GUIDELINES OF YOUR PRACTICAL! ARE YOU READY?! YEEEEAH?!/

Silence again!

/THIS IS HOW THE TEST WILL GO MY LISTENERS, YOU'LL BE EXPERIENCING TEN-MINUTE LONG 'MOCK CITY ESCAPE MANEUVERS'! BRING ALONG WHATEVER YOU WANT! AFTER THIS PRESENTATION, YOU'LL EACH HEAD TO YOUR ASSIGNED TESTING SITES!/ he said as on the huge screen was a square representing the auditorium and numerous arrows pointing out to many lettered boxes of A-J.

The rules are simple:

There are three faux villains and defeating them earns points.

Quirks only.

Playing Anti-Hero by attacking other examinees is forbidden.

Izuku supposed that's already a Test of Character as whoever does, will be barred from U.A.

That was what Izuku thought.

'Uweee, a real city block...how much money did they spend on this?' Izuku sweatdropped as he was already in costume of a black spandex top, elbow supports, gloves and red pocket-belts with his trousers tucked into red boots. On his arms were his metal bracers to prevent losing them as balls.

He was utterly gobsmacked and disillusioned about the value of money, given how Naruko treats money as expendables for benefit.

Because in the worlds she must focus on as a Keyblader, Munny was the general currency. Outside that was the Yen, the Pounnd, etc, that she wants to get rid of money when she's in a foreign world just not to take up space in storage. But she keeps Munny in her wallets.

For now, he'll have to use Scan on his bracers just to know how to use them in his exams to stand out.

Villain Points but...

...what about Hero Points?

Afer Naruko lectured about how the exam will go based on what she 'read' from the stars...

'Izuku, most likely everyone will focus on gaining Villain Points in the exam, the higher the better.' said Riku. 'To each, his own, but that's very selfish and proof you're not a reliable person to be with.'

'Yeah, you gotta work as a team.' said Sora cheerfully. 'Teamwork builds trust and confidence in you and others, proof that you're reliable! Reliability is a good Hero trait and a quirk in terms of personality!'

'Besides, if one has a loner mentality, people will think stuff about you and not in a good way.' said Lavi. 'There's gotta be a secret test of character in there somewhere that can get you extra points needed to pass the exam.'

'Yeah! Heroes are supposed to be charismatic and inspiring!' Allen chimed. 'There are offensive quirks, defensive quirks and support quirks but some of these guys can't even fight back due to what they got, so help them out!'

'You gotta back up what you mouthed out or you'll look like an idiot.' said Kanda bluntly. 'Think things through because a half-baked plan and a half-cocked execution, your ass is grass.'

'Just be careful about exam sabotage though...people you know and who knew you're Quirkless will try sabotage you for sure.' Nea warned when he took over Allen. 'While it's annoying, its also an opportunity for examiners to flag them as 'Villain Material' and ban them from U.A.'

'Ahahaha...that aside, always stay as cool as a cucumber no matter the situation.' said Naruko with a giggle. 'You guys did many things together and faced scary things together. Hell, the beasts we eat are loads scarier than humans. Huge, ugly and mean. Machines and costumed robots are nothing compared to what you put up here with us.'

So yep, words of wisdom from his friends, as he relied on his ninja skills and wits. Analyzing what he sees as it was his best trait as noted by his friends that saved their asses in Hunting.

And he saved who was in trouble with the grace and poise of a hero. Deep inside, he was freaking out at having to pull off Lavi's advice in the 'looking good and cool' part...

/AAAAND TIME'S UP!/ P. Mic yelled.

Now all that's left is waiting for the exam results.

At home...

Izuku was nervous as he's back home with a large wooden chest, and a backpack on his back.

Thanks to magic, Izuku could bring home good stuff from Food Paradise.

And he can only trust his secret to his mother who was the only one by his side.

'Mom! I'm home!' Izuku greeted as his mother's eyes popped in disbelief.

'Izuku?!' he can't blame his mom, he's changed a lot! 'Y-you just got back? What about the exams?'

'Naruko took me home on time for the exams.' Izuku grinned. 'I did well!' he said cheerfully.

'For you to smile and talk so confidently...training under them must have done you real great!' Inko was happy her son has great changes.

"Ahaha if only you knew the truth, mom..." Izuku sweatdropped. 'Yeah, everyone did me real great mom...they were really great and supportive friends.' Izuku smiled. 'Besides, I got a Quirk now!' his mother gawked at him. 'I know I know but its a long story...but before that, can I unload my souvenirs first mom?'

'Souvenirs?' Inko blinked.

'Yeah! I hope you haven't done any grocery shopping yet because this will fill up our fridge and pantry for quite some time!' Izuku laughed.

'Dear, you know I only shop on Sundays and today's a Friday.' Inko pointed out. Not to mention while her son was gone, she hardly spent money not to mention she gained a lot after getting money back from those darn two schools. 'Sooo what did you bring home?'

'With help from a different quirk, we could do the impossible with a box...so I brought home a huge batch of food!' said Izuku. 'Where Naruko was from, food was different...and that's an understatement.' he said. 'I want you to eat it all. Its insanely yummy, all of it!'

'I doubt I can eat it all myself!' Inko giggled. 'Let's see what you got.'

'Since where we're at is so secret...all stuff here are coded and don't exist anywhere, so don't talk about it outside of home.' Izuku warned. 'I cannot talk about that place even on death threats.' yeah, how is he supposed to explain away what he knows without proof, as he's not even a Keyblader? 'What matters is that we can eat all this for ourselves.'

'Let's see what you have dear.' said Inko as Izuku listed out what he has.

Its mostly food ingredients with health and cosmetic benefits for his mother, and a recipe booklet Naruko wrote to maximize all the benefits for his mother. As such, he will not eat any of the stuff for his mother so they will cook meals separately, and he has at least a year's worth of the wares that will not rot because of the magic in the box.

Due to this, they closed their fridge and mostly take food out of the box.

Lunch and Dinner that day was different too...and delicious.

'I can't believe the stuff you brought home is so delicious!' Inko swooned in delight. Izuku's dinner was different, as he ate Marbled Pig Teriyakidon. 'And they're not sharing it?!' Izuku shook his head.

'Sorry mom but no.' said Izuku. 'They have a strong dislike of our society they refuse to share these to anyone outside their community. We impressed Naruko enough that she's willing to let me take some home as souvenirs enough to last us a year. Through a special quirk, we have a year's worth of everything you'll be healthy and beautiful in no time flat after a couple months.'

'I see...well I have had a lot to think about since that day...' said Inko. 'What we endured together as a family.' she said. 'And I'm glad we're both good people as good things come to the good.'

'Un.' Izuku nodded.

'You said you er...got a Quirk?'

'Yeah...I was given the ability to manipulate anything I touch down to molecular level.' said Izuku as he changed the surface of their wooden dining table by making a wooden chick 'grow' on a surface before undoing what he did. 'Since Alchemy has a lot of potential, I decided my Hero Name will be Surprise Guy' since anything is up for grabs, but I gotta study hard for it in turn...since Naruko said an Alchemist's failures is losing creativity and not studied enough. I'll have to crack a lot of books for this.'

'Doing that will open more doors for your future actually.' Inko giggled before looking serious. 'But how do we explain this?'

'Erm, a passable Quirk by succession?'

Elsewhere, All-Might sneezed.

'...is that even possible?'

'Welp, we won't know till we try...' said Izuku nervously. 'And Naruko's submitted my schoolwork at school too to double-time.' he said. 'I guess I have to redo stuff like updating my official photos and stuff...I mean, do you recognize the me now from the me that left ten months ago?' he asked awkwardly.

Inko looked at her son now compared to the short boy ten months ago.

He's now taller than her. Resembled a male version of her when he mostly looked like his father. The only thing he got from her, was his hair color and eyes.

'Ohoho! I'd say no dear...in fact, we look alike now.' said Inko, beaming in her smile. 'And for some weird reason, your freckles are gone!' she said, noting her son's patterned freckles are gone from his face.

'Ahaha...the treatments there made my freckles so pale they're invisible on my skin now...' "Thank you Melanin Gourami!" '...since they're of the opinion that good looks play a role in charisma's plus-points...'

'In a way that's true...but charisma isn't about all looks dear.' said Inko. 'Its about how many hearts you can reach with your voice.'

'Yeah. I'm nervous about the coming school year.' said Izuku sheepishly.

'Oh yes, have you had a costume now dear?'

'Yeah. Naruko complains how fashion sense sucks...she's seen the costumes and she calls it all eyesores.' Izuku winced. 'Sooo she drew and gave me a design since the materials of her society do not exist here and I'd rather not be questioned by the league as to what its made of had I had mine pre-made there.'

'That makes sense, so we'd best have yours pre-ordered then at the school.' Inko said. 'We got plenty of time tomorrow to go out before school comes.'

Inko knew things are looking up for her son at long last.

At U.A...Class 1-A...

None was any more surprised than Bakugo Katsuki, that Izuku was there in class.

'You! What the fuck are you doing here, Deku?!' he howled in disbelief. Moreover, the useless wonder changed a lot physically! What the hell happened?!

'...I met a beautiful miracle, that's all.' said Izuku. 'She gave me hope when nobody else did.'

'Ahn?! What the fuck izzat supposed to mean?!' Bakugo was doing a before-and-after in his head, wondering what the hell happened in a span of months.

'To your seats, everyone.' said Pro-Hero, Eraserhead a.k.a Aizawa Shouta drawled deeply. 'Before I start Homeroom, we have a temporary guest so we'll get that out of the way in a bit.' he said. 'Come on in.' a black boot familiar to Izuku appeared passed past the door and in came his teacher.

'Wow!' Kirishima Eijirou gasped.

'She's hot!' Kaminari Denki and Mineta Minoru howled excitedly as a blonde beauty in a black sexy costume* appeared.

'Shishou!' Izuku immediately went ten-hut! before he bowed in dogeza, putting on a show.

'Shi...'

'SHISHOU?!' the class howled incredulously, looking at him, and at the beautiful girl just their age. Or maybe she looks young but actually an adult?! Aizawa eyed the interaction closely.

'Muuu~what did I say about being too formal with me, Izuku?' Naruko pouted. 'Sore ori, congrats on passing the Entrance Exam! The three of us watched you in your assigned location!' she beamed as she clapped her hand once.

"He passed the exam? This Quirkless idiot? How?!" Bakugo thought incredulously.

'Sooo I brought you a gift!'

Normally, one would be happy, but WHY is their classmate horrified?

'Riku! Sora! Get it over!' Naruko called out as two boys came in. One was the 'cute boy' material while the next one, was GORGEOUS that got the girls squealing...but they looked like they were struggling while dragging something in in a sack! Aizawa was wondering what got his student horrified and what's in those sacks that were so heavy that well-trained boys are struggling to drag it in.

'Riku! Sora! T-those sacks...don't tell me...!' Izuku cried in terror, looking at the sacks before turning to Naruko who was smiling. 'Shishou! Have mercy on meee!' he wailed as he was on his knees, hugging her waist and crying, and the boys were doggone JEALOUS because his face was rubbing on 'the forbidden paradise' while Bakugo was twitching. Todoroki Shouto was puzzled with the interaction, having no social skills but he was just as baffled with the situation. If one were to look closely, he has question marks floating around his head. Because he cannot understand nor comprehend.

'Yup!' Sora gasped out. 'You can say this is a farewell gift before the three of us travel again!'

'We pray for your soul, Izuku.' Riku and Sora clasped their hands in prayer. Aizawa sweatdropped while the class gaped at the two mock-praying boys incredulously.

'I'M NOT DEAD YET!' Izuku howled in a high-pitched voice while comically wailing.

'...what's in the sacks?' Aizawa twitched. He wants answers. Now.

'Oh those? Izuku just mastered 150 kg during the Provisional Exams, so the stuff we brought is 220 kg Training Weights!' said Naruko, causing all pairs of eyes to widen as she took out a small control and pressed a button, causing weights to appear on Izuku. A weight vest and two each for all four limbs. Each numbered to show how heavy they are.

'I just barely mastered these...' Izuku whimpered as he took them off and put them in the ground carefully.

'You have a six month deadline before we upgrade OK?' said Naruko as Riku and Sora helped Izuku put his new weights on, causing him to slam on the floor afterward when when the vest was put on, he struggled to just stand up!

'H-help mee...'

'Sorry man, we got our own weights too it was a pain helping you put your new ones on.' said Sora as he and Riku showed him that they too, are weighted.

'Well, work hard for the deadline Izuku.' said Riku. 'We'll be back then.'

'Dewa, sorry for taking your time, sensei.' Naruko smiled sweetly with a polite bow.

"This girl...or woman..." Aizawa observed her body. Its tight, firmly muscled without compromising her figure as a female while most female heroes these days have nearly masculine muscular arms and legs with prominent neck muscles for those who are combat-oriented, yet this one... "She has a well-trained body and so do the boys. But still...for one of them to be wearing Training Weights, that's an idea." 'Shishou, was it?'

'Hai, what is it?'

'While we know how to train a male body, we have lacking in knowledge in training a female body.' said Aizawa. 'Result of that is severe self-esteem issues for ahem, being too manly in looks and lowering chances of getting married...so Counseling Therapy and Omiai is struggling. Literally.' he said. 'So here's hoping for the next generation of female heroes not to have that same...issue.'

NOW they're all looking at him in disbelief.

'Oh my...' Naruko chuckled. 'I'll help out on one condition...'

'Condition?'

'Yes...I wish to see the resolve of the ladies.' said Naruko, her eyes glinting. 'And their spirit as Heroes. Failing just one requirement in just one person...I refuse, OK?' she said. 'I will give the teachers two days to talk to their female students. To those who fail before we can start, weed them out so we can focus on the real deal...because I refuse to waste my time in those who lack and only wanting to be a hero for fame and money, OK?'

'Mm, that's reasonable.' Aizawa nodded. '...and just incase, since my student referred to you as his teacher, how old are you?'

'15.'

'NO WAAAAY!' the class cried, wide-eyed.

'Just our age?! For real?!' Ashido Mina gasped out.

'Yes.' said Naruko. 'I trained since I was little and all I bet I can beat all of you at once without using my Quirk...' she said as she flared her potent killing intent in the classroom so potent the class is deeply affected Aizawa gave her a 'what-the-fuck' look while only Izuku, Riku and Sora stays standing and unaffected. '-and so can my students who are one-man-army by themselves.' and she stopped. 'Show me your resolve and spirit as heroes...and I will give your teacher a Training Manual for girls. Let's go, Sora, Riku...you're also getting used to your new weights we can use some countryside to stay in.'

'See ya in six months Izuku!' Sora grinned as the trio left.

'...they basically consumed Homeroom Time.' Aizawa sighed. "What killing intent...and just fifteen?" he shuddered. In his younger days, how long has it been since he felt that?

"Deku, temeee...just...what monster did you go to...?" Bakugo gasped out as he struggled to breathe while almost all his classmates passed out.

'Midoriya, I'm talking to you after class.' said Aizawa, walking out as Present Mic came in.

'Man, that was one helluva presence Shouta!' he shuddered. 'The hell is that?!'

'Like hell I know, all I know is that they're not villains at least.'
