Do Not Have God Speak to Us

To hear God himself is too overwhelming, yet we rarely listen to his messengers. Sam and Dean always listen, but they never learn.

Exodus 20:19

"and said to Moses, 'Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.'"

Dean was told, "Watch out for Sammy."

Sam was told, "Listen to your brother."

Dean heard, "Sam is most important."

Sam heard, "Dean knows best."

Dean was told, "Shoot first, ask questions later."

Sam was told, "This is the family business."

Dean heard, "Do, don't think."

Sam head, "This is your life, forever."

Dean was told, "You're a great hunter."

Sam was told, "You're s great student."

Dean heard, "You're only a good hunter."

Sam heard, "Here is your way out."

Dean was told, "I need to do this, myself."

Sam was told, "Let me help you."

Dean heard, "I don't need you."

Sam heard, "You can't do it."

They listened, and they heard.

But they never learned.
