Prolog- ((I haven't thought of a working title here))
Umm…yeah. This is the prolog for my story, which I don't have a title for yet.
Somewhere, in the uncharted areas of the digiworld, is a valley. In the valley is a
cave, shrouded in darkness. In the cave is an area, hollowed out and furnished, livable.
In this room sat two children, a boy and a girl. The boy sat in an oversized chair
with his feet propped up against the wall. The girl sprawled on a rug, her hands propping
her head up, knees bent and feet swinging in the air.
"I can't believe I spent the last of my resources bringing you here", the boy finally
said into the silence. The girl didn't say anything, only looked at him.
"I mean, of all of us I could have dragged here, it had to be some crazy, useless
girl who doesn't even have her partner yet." He glared at her.
"I brought you your crest…and the prophecy. Don't blame me, Power." She said,
very quietly.
"I don't care!" he snapped. "If anyone else had came, I would have a real helper,
and then you would have been found eventually." She simply shrugged and stood up. He
watched her as she walked out of the room, to the entrance of their makeshift
headquarters. Her heard her as she began to laugh; a high-pitched, maniacal laugh that
sent shivers down his spine.
He shook his head, and walked over to a small table that was one of the few
pieces of furniture in the room. On the table were a stack of papers, cards, a half-eaten
sandwich on a plate, and two necklaces. On the necklaces hung two tags, each with a
crest in it. He picked up his own crest, slipping it around his neck, and looked at the
other. He sighed.
"Insanity…" he whispered, the girl's laughter echoing around the cave, and
shuddered.
