It was another ordinary day for Neela except for today she didn't need to pull a shift or at least she thought. (Phone rings) "Hello", "Yes, I'm calling in regards to Ms. Neela" "Speaking can I help you" "Well Neela this is Jorine at Chicago pregnancy services and I need to discus your results" "Oh great, over the phone?" "Certainly not I would advise you and your boyfriend to come into the office today or tomorrow" "Well as sure as i'd like to I can't you see he's a soldier in Iraq and won't be home for another week" "Understandable, Well as soon as he gets home I would like to see you and him in my office just ask for Jorine ok" "Thank you" "You also and can't wait to see you." (Neela hangs up the phone.) To herself "what else could possibly go wrong." (phone rings 5 minutes later). "Hello Neela speaking", "Neela this is Pratt I know your not supposed to be in here today but we need you, Carter and Sam called in today" "How soon?" "An hour bye" "Wait". Before she knew it Pratt had already hung up on her. "Just when I thought this day couldn't get any worse!" Neela was not very excited seeing as how her day took off. So Neela needed to relax so she took a long hot bath balancing all the pressures of her life. It was 30 minutes before she had to be o work and there was a knock at her door "now what? Who is it?" "Take a guess" sighing in relief as she opened the door. "Gallant sweetie" "Baby how are you?" "Fine but we need to talk."
She didn't know how to present the fact that she might be pregnant by him so she said we can discuss it after work. Under the agony of pulling a 6 hour shift with 2 hours of sleep and might be pregnant was a lot for one day. "Hun, I got to go to work you can walk with me or stay here?" So they just cuddled and laughed till almost to the ER Neela brought it up. "I got a phone call today" "about what?" "well I'm here and we'll go tomorrow and I have something to tell you" "what's that?" "I'm coming home Neela, for good" Neela gets a smile on her face but tears in her eyes cause she has waited so long for this day."You really are?" "yes, I've missed to much with you and I want to have a child with you and I know we're ready""Well that's great but are you sure this is what you want?" "i'm positive and I've already wasted enough time I want to be with you" "This is great and when are you leaving Iraq?" "Sweets I already did" Neela is overcome with joy and jumps into his arms and he swings her around as he whispers "I love you" and she replied "I love you more than you could know"
