So here is my first story! I will try to update every 1-2 weeks, and I am sorry that this chapter is so short. I will make longer chapters, but this is just for a short beginning.
"Keep on to me, don't remember me. Never forget my actions, but forget my face, never keep on to my name, but keep on to your life."
That was the last thing the figure had said to me, before I fell asleep. I had awoken on a bus heading into a barely familiar forest. I tried to remember what had happened, as I rubbed my throbbing head. My wavy blonde hair seemed messy, but that wasn't the problem.
I felt a sudden shiver run down my back before I realized it was a forest, not the usual desert. I felt cold, and I wasn't even outside, and it was summer. I looked at a nearby sign that read, "Gravity Falls."
I hadn't been there in a while. 5 years in Arizona does change you though. From the hottest state in the US to. To. This. Of course I was kind of happy to be back, but it was the fact I had nowhere to stay or go in the town that frightened me. I was a 13 year old girl with no home or family… or friends….
I grimaced as the bus pulled to a stop at a bus station. I then had the returned feeling of fear in the town. I dragged a small suitcase and a large suitcase around the town, looking for a place to stay, without being noticed. Of course I lived here until I was 7, and I obviously knew most of the townspeople, who kept insisting that I was cute and pretty. It annoyed me how they talked to me when I was little, as if I was some sort of baby bunny. But I was FAR from that.
I decided that my best bet for a house was to probably stay in a cave somewhere in the forest until I found some abandoned cabin or whatever.
I found an ideal cave after around only 30 minutes of searching. It was more than tall enough for a 67" tall,13 year old girl. I was obviously taller than most people that were even adults. I was probably as tall as the average 15 year old or 16 year old.
I slowly unpacked my things in the cold, dead afternoon. "Nice thinking Star, now you'll be sleeping in the cold with nothing but a blanket. On cold, hard rocks." I thought to myself.
I decided I wanted to go through a walk through town, just for my memory to refresh about it. I turned toward the small town, feeling eyes watching me through the forest. I was obviously not amused, because someone or something was taking me for granted. I was already uncomfortable around people.
I walked toward where I thought it was. I looked through the bushes and trees, but I didn't see anything. "This isn't just a game. Show yourself." I bellowed. I looked around me, looking for whatever was watching me. That's when I saw him. "It can't be you…" I muttered, right before I fell unconscious.
