General

"Kenzo-kun, please take care of Yume okay?"

That words replaying non-stop in Kenzo's head since he passed the phone to Takehito.

AYABIE has been in their free time, recording a podcast for the fans. At the beginning they were chatted happily as usual and somehow it turned out from making call to Ryouta-kun (his support member back in K.Y) then to called Yumehito's mother.

Kenzo saw the vocalist's expression changing while he made call to his mom, the way he said "Genki ?" with his almost sore-throat voice and how Yumehito's lips curled slowly making a beautiful smile while talking his mom. It was this kindness aura around Yumehito's and somehow making the drummer smiling too (but still he put that scowled face to Yumehito --'well it's fun to teased him'-).

When Intetsu (awkwardly) end the conversation with Yume's mom and hurriedly passed the phone to Kenzo's. The drummer, being polite as usual to Yume's mom, can only remember that sentence…

'Taking care of Yume huh?' he mused.

As if it's only him who Yume's mom trusted.. not that the other member are not close to Yumehito -well, Yumehito is really an easy-going person- but.. Kenzo relationship with him honestly is not that close too.. (or is it only in Kenzo's mind?)

It was really different than his friendship with Aki. While Aki is his best buddy, Kenzo treated Yume as his little brother, and he put his role as an (overprotective?) older brother. Being a person who's closest to Yume when Aoi left the band somehow makes him obligated to take care of him, especially when everyone decided to chose him as a vocalist.

Kenzo can sense Yumehito will probably break down, depressed or any negative thoughts that flashed in his mind.

'This is such a big burden to him, for god's sake, he even the youngest member in the band', he thought.

He wouldn't let that happen anyway. AYABIE had a important part in his life and he will keep on fighting with something he trust from beginning. So then by his instinct, he decided to 'protect' Yumehito, willingly.

Called it mother sense, maybe Yumehito's mom can feel Kenzo's different presence around her son. So she naturally said it to Kenzo, not to others.

The phone call session done, the recording for Ayabie podcast is also finished. Yumehito now acting childish and hyper like usual, making Intetsu and Takehito laugh by the blonde's silliness. Yumehito then stared at Kenzo, asked him to join the group. But the drummer smirked and let out a scowled no-way-I-join face, "….baka".

Yumehito's grunted and ignore Kenzo right away. -he is getting used to Kenzo's cool reaction anyway-.

The drummer's then making a small laugh, looked at Yumehito who is over-genki before him. It's not only AYABIE who has a special place in his life, but this kid too..

'Don't worry Kaa-san, I will always take care of him'

PS. The podcast convo is real, when Yume-mama said to Kenzo "Yume no koto onegaishimasu nee"

and actually I don't really understand about the podcast coughtooexcitedaboutkenzo'sconvocough, so I use my imagination instead haha well it's fanfiction anyway xD
