The Long and the Short of it
"I can't believe that Dream Lord guy was actually able to make us believe those insane worlds were real! I mean, Rory's ponytail should have really been a cue that something was up. And a cold star? That's not even possible!", The Doctor rambled.
Amy rolled her eyes. "Oh really? And I thought you were the one that told us a 'cold star' could be possible?", she quipped.
"It was a dream! I mean, an expertly engineered and hyper-realistic one at that, but still. Does anything in a dream ever really make sense?"
"I've got something that doesn't make sense.", Rory added. "Who was that Dream Lord guy, anyways?"
The Doctor looked between his two companions with a look on his face that clearly read "Seriously?". After a moment he sighed and asked "Long version or short version?"
Amy laughed, scarcely believing that The Doctor was offering to talk less for once. "Short version."
"Short would be nice.", Rory answered.
The Doctor took a large breath and began to sing a very loud, screechy, obnoxious song. "He's a manifestation! Of my self-hatred! And when you look deep into his eyes he'll cause a sedation! And what comes next? He'll cast an evil hex! And trap you in a dream world that perplexes! So... WATCH OUT!"
Amy and Rory looked at him in disbelief for a moment before Rory spoke. "Okay, short is not nice."
"Never do that again. Ever.", Amy demanded the Time Lord.
The Doctor looked a bit saddened, but shook it off quickly. "Sorry. So, where to next? I know a really great planet not too far from here. It's called Midnight and it's made of diamond. There's even a nice tour to a sapphire waterfall and a lovely spa. Granted, I shut the place down and I nearly got taken over by a voice-stealing creature, but we can always go to it in the past! Or there's also Woman Wept. It's completely frozen and..."
Amy smiled and rolled her eyes. "I don't care, as long as you don't sing any more."
AN- I don't even know what that was. Completely and utterly crack. The Doctor's Dream Lord song is derived from Pinkie's Zekora song from FiM, BTW. Also, I don't own Doctor Who or anything else I didn't come up with. Thanks for reading! -KawaiiJoltic
