ON W/ THE STORY!

Aang looked down at his reflection in the river. He saw not only himself, but all of the Avatars before him. Out of nowhere, Gyatso's face stared back at him. The monk's hand, veins popping out of it in age, reached up and seemed to be pressing against the underside of the water's surface. "Gyatso…" Aang murmured before placing his young hand over the monk's old one. Gyatso smiled, and his eyes closed. Aang smiled too, and closed his eyes. A vision appeared in his mind…

"What do you mean he's gone?" one of the monks shouted at Gyatso. "I went into his room and he was gone, this scroll was left on his bed," Gyatso said, handing a scroll to the monks. They crowded around and read Aang's note. "He must've heard about you sending him to the Northern Air Temple," Gyatso said. The monks bowed their heads and one said, "There is no way of telling where he is now. He probably took Appa too." Gyatso nodded and looked out one of the windows. The fierce storm from the night before had cleared away, replaced by clear, sunny skies. "Aang…" Gyatso whispered…

Aang opened his eyes and jumped up. He looked back down into the water, hoping to see Gyatso's face again, but the reflection was gone. Aang hung his head. He was ashamed of his actions all those years ago. "Aang?" a voice asked. The young Avatar looked over his shoulder to see Katara standing there, worry etched into her pretty features. Aang looked back at the water, then dropped his head and walked away from the campsite.
