Gumball sighed and looked above. How could his life be so poor and dreary? Penny had literally just denied him of his only hopes. He looked down and kicked a rock.

After arriving home, he looked at his family. Sprinting up the stairs, he flung most of his things into a duffel bag and left the house. He stood outside and stared at the house that had been his home for much of his life. He saluted and began walking away, a husky sigh and the pounding of footsteps all he heard. He made it near the outskirts and sighed. Not looking where he was going, he continued walking and hit a pile of dirt. "Ow!" He shouted, staring down at the rock in fury. It wasn't, in fact, a rock. A small bronze staff was imbedded into the ground. He pulled it out and stared at it intently. He flung it around a little and earth flew around him, surrounding him like a shield. Shocked, he flung it to the ground. The magic stopped. He picked it up and pointed it to the ground, trying to raise earth. Instead, incredible winds flung him into the air.

"THIS IS INCREDIBLE!" Gumball shouted, laughing as best as he could with his cheeks flapping. He dropped to the ground, the wind resistance stopping him from having his legs smashed. HE tried to summon water, but nothing happened. Gumball looked around, confused, and saw a water tank. He also used the flame of a fellow's lighter to make and incredibly strong elemental shield. Suddenly, a man with the head of a hawk appeared. "I am Ra, god of the sun and guardian of the staff. Why have you used this staff, mortal?" The god asked. Gumball faltered. "I found it in the ground. It's incredible."

He said, slicking his blue fur back. Ra stared at him. He looked around, suddenly conscious of where he was. "Where am I? Why am I not in my home land?" The god asked, looking at the small american town.

Gumball replied, "You're in Elmore, sir." Ra's eyes dilated. "Then that means.. The chosen one has arisen."
