Prologue

When the walls of Hell break open, the world will end. There is only one way this evil might be stopped-with the powers of the elements that God gave the Earth in its creation, harnessed within the right human vessels.

A witch will be entrusted to give the powers of the elements to the vessels, and she will hear the prophecy in her dreams. She must take heed of who receives the power and what type each receives. She must also know which elements are missing from the world and which are born already.

Chapter 1

Mia woke with a fright. It was still snowing outside. Turning her head, Mia looked over at her bedside table taking note of all the junk on it before checking the time on her clock. It was half past nine. She still had time to go discuss her dream with Luna before she left for work. Quickly finding some clean cloths and her coat Mia managed to get some breakfast before rushing out the door.

Knocking softly on the bright red door Mia stepped back. A few seconds later Luna opened the door, car keys in hand.

"Oh, Mia! I didn't hear you knock."

"I guess I knocked softer than I thought..."

"What's up? You look sorta depressed."

"It's nothing like that. Can I talk to you about something?"

"Sure! Anytime! What do you want to talk about?"

Mia took a deep breath and explained the dream that she had last night. Luna stared at her in disbelief when Mia told her that she was a witch and had to find people who were
"vessels" for the elements of the world. When Mia was done Luna said,"Well, that a pretty detailed dream you had...are you sure that you are a witch?"

"I'm positive."

"How can you tell?"

"I dunno. Something just tells me that all of this is true"

"You mean sorta like a second-sense?"

"Just the thing"

"Ya, whatever you say. Look, I'm going to be late for work."

"Oh, right. I should leave anyways."

Mia was disappointed that Luna didn't believe her. Letting out a long sigh she turned around and headed back to her house. Turning the corner she noticed the next-door neighbor's son, Tyler. He was out in the yard sitting under the big willow tree. Mia noticed something different about this child, something that might change Tyler's life forever.

Mia suddenly knew what she was feeling. She knew he was a vessel for an element. She knew he was the one, but what element would he be? She wasn't sure. After a moment of thinking she knew which one.

"Hello, Miss Mia..."

"Hello, Tyler. How are you?"

"Fine. Is there something wrong? You stopped to look at me."

"Yes, There is something. I was wanting to ask you would you like to save the world someday?"

"Do you think I could do that?"

"Why, yes, I do believe you can. In fact I know you can, so will you?"

"I can try if you want me to Miss Mia."

That was all she needed to hear.

The first chapter is done! At the part where Mia is explaining her dream I know it is a bit confusing, but that was the easiest way to explain it. Sorry!

Goals for this story:

I want to reach 50 chapters...It doesn't seem like a lot, but with my procrastinating skills I will be lucky if I make it to chapter 42 in the next year !

I am hoping to make a website for this (and all my fanfics and stories) where I can upload pictures to go with the stories. I do have some already drawn...I'd rather not show them to people yet.
