prologue
on TRACK
'Deep breath, Sakura,' the medic-nin told herself. 'Naruto?' she thought, as a flash of yellow, black, and orange whooshed by.
Another deep breath, and exhale, "Naruto! NARUTO!!"
His face. Scarred, and bleeding as he jumped to another tree. And then, it was obvious; he found him already.
"Kuso." she muttered, as she sprinted onto a heavy tree branch. "Come on, move!"
Her legs were bleeding, scars were going to form the next day. But, she pushed on. If she didn't, another chance to save him would be gone, and this is probably the last one, too.
She couldn't give that up. She won't give in, that is her nindo.
And it was the blond knucklehead's too. Wasn't it?
