AN: more might follow from different view points. They will mostly centre around Gus and Felicity. There are just not enough RTA fanfics out there to satisfy me. Reviews and constructive criticism are always appreciated :D
"Felix King! Give that back!"
A high pitched, angry voice screamed as the little devil himself ran towards me, grinning wildly.
"Will this summer end without my being kissed?" Felix gave a mock sigh before cackling like an old witch.
A young girl, no more than 13, raced after her little brother. Her light brown hair was tearing itself from its restrictive pins. She dove at Felix, pinning him to the ground and wrenched a book away from his hands.
"Felicity King!" Mr. King's shocked tone caused me to look back at him, "what have you done to your hair?!"
The girl, Felicity, looked up and the rage disappeared as her big green eyes met mine. There was something…intriguing (there ya go, Miss King) about them. I couldn't quite place it.
"What've you done to your chest?" Felix remarked cruelly. She pulled a rolled up piece of cloth from her dress. I swallowed the urge to laugh. What a silly thing to do when she was already lovely. That thought stunned me. Lovely? Where did that come from?
"You're horrible! All of you!" with that final exclamation, she ran like the hounds of hell were on her heels. I thought that statement was a little unfair. What had I done? She didn't even know me.
Some deep, sleeping part of me awoke. It called softly to go after her, comfort her. It came on so suddenly and left just as quickly, so I ignored it. It took many hours of careful thinking to fully understand what exactly what that sleeping part of me was.
I had to laugh at her girlish follies. What was she playing at? Stuffing her dress, ha ha! Her hair, up in that fashion looked good but it didn't seem to suit her young face.
I shook my head to clear away thoughts of her and went right back to work for Mr. King.
Girls only create trouble.
