My Sister's Wedding

I stood in the nursery of the church, zipping up my sister's wedding gown. Even through all the differences we once had, in the last couple years, we've grown pretty close. She looked gorgeous in her white halter dress with a bell skirt. The train extended five feet behind her.

She and the bride's mates had gotten a full up do with baby's breath strategically placed throughout. She looked absolutely beautiful.

I, along with the other bride's mates, wore a baby blue dress (matching my sister's eyes) in the same cut and style as her dress. We looked perfect for the late May wedding.

My mother was sitting in one of the nursery rocking chairs. She looked ecstatic that she was finally getting married after all these years. Mom was wearing a baby blue suit with a nice cut to it.

I finished zipping her dress and she turned around. She through her arms around me and gave me a big hug. There was a perfect sparkle in her eyes that told me she was truly happy.

Angie and Mary Alice were the flower girls. They looked adorable in their white puffy dresses with a blue sash at the waist. Angie was currently sitting watching my sister getting ready with fascination, probably starting to plan her own wedding in her head. Here in the burg, we start early. Mary Alice was galloping around, whinnying and naying. And for once, my mother didn't care and wasn't drunk at the same time!

At last, it was time to walk down the isle. I got in line next to the best man, Ranger. We walked down the isle right in front of my sister.

I took my place at the alter and watched her walk down the isle.

The priest invited the audience to sit and started the ceremony. "We are gathered here today to join together Valerie Plum and Jackson North, known by his friends and acquaintances as Tank."
