Purple Tongues

Sasuke stared at the blonde boy sitting beside him, wondering how a single person could make so much noise eating a snow cone. Then again, this was Naruto he was thinking of, so he probably shouldn't have been so surprised.

Feeling Sasuke's gaze, Naruto looked away from his ice and up at the Uchiha. "Grape snow cones are my favorite," he said, possibly as an explanation for the new eating habit he had suddenly picked up. Amused, Sasuke just nodded and watched as Naruto continued to eat.

Naruto made a big show of finishing the dessert, before getting up to throw out the paper cone. Returning to the bench where the two boys had been sitting, he saw Sasuke was still staring at him.

"Ne, Sasuke, are my lips purple or something?"

"No, but your tongue is," he replied as the blonde sat back down.

"Oh, that's cool." Naruto stuck his tongue out as a lady walked by, glaring.

"I want one too."

"What was that, Sasuke?"

"I want a purple tongue too."

"You do?" Naruto's eyes widened slightly in surprise.

"Yeah."

"Alright, but I thought you hated sweets." Naruto took his toad wallet out of his pocket and stood up, planning to buy Sasuke a snow cone from the vendor across the street, but was stopped by a tugging on his shirt. Startled, he turned to find Sasuke standing up as well, looking straight in his eyes.

Next thing Naruto knew, Sasuke's lips were on his own, and the two boys were kissing.

Hearing a rustling sound from behind, Sasuke and Naruto broke apart and turned around to see Kakashi emerging from the bushes holding binoculars and a copy of Icha Icha Paradise.

"So, Sasuke," the jounin asked, "How do you like having a purple tongue?"
