Dear Reader, This is a tale of the adventures I shared with my school friends at Hogwarts. This first book gives you a glimpse into our time there and what trials we faced within it. The bits from James' point of view are adapted from a diary that he kept. Stories from the point of view of the fourth marauder, Peter Pettigrew, or Wormtail as we nicknamed him is not included in this tale as we have unearthed him to be a traitor and therefore not a true marauder. Thanks to my remaining friend Sirius Black (Padfoot) for your help with this book and acknowledgement to Cassandra Harding whose dairy we are using without permission for we failed to track her down. If you are reading this please get in touch. The girls' diaries remain unchanged (apart from the correction of grammatical and spelling mistakes) so therefore I can take no credit for these sections. Dedicated to Lily and James Potter, would it be that you were alive today I know you would have been enthusiastic about it and thank you for the evidence you left behind to help me.
