Harmonious and soft music drifted through the console room and the branching hallways. At its center, next to the time rotor, was the Doctor and River. They were swaying together in time to the music. River's head was resting against his shoulder and his hands were looped around her waist. All in all, it certainly wasn't the most compromising position Amy Pond had ever caught them in, however it was possibly the most intimate.
She was prepared to march right up to them and demand to know why the Doctor hadn't told her that her baby was on board. But a firm and gentle hand on her arm stopped her. Rory had come up beside her and witnessed their daughter and husband dancing.
"What are you doin stupid face? Don't you want to see Melody?" Amy questioned the Roman.
"Of course I do Amy, but...look at her," he said, voice filled with love. "She's happy. After everything, everything that has happened to her, she is finally happy. I don't really like that it's with your imaginary friend but if it had to be somebody, let it be the Doctor."
Amy took another look at her daughter and saw the small smile that graced her lips, watching as it threatened to grow bigger. As the couple swayed, she caught sight of the Doctor's mouth moving next to her ear. He was whispering something that was only meant for River to hear, and whatever it was, it was making her little Melody smile.
"Yeah, I guess your right. They seem to make each other happy," Amy observed for once River finally did give in and laugh, the Doctor broke out in his own wide grin as well.
"Why don't we head back to bed and see her in the morning, we still have plenty of time since we're staying in the Tardis right now," Rory suggested.
"That sounds like an excellent idea husband," Amy said. "And who knows, maybe I can use this as blackmail to finally get him to take us to see New York."
