A light singing could be heard throughout a cold winter forest. A young woman with brilliant petal pink hair and eyes the color of mint could be seen singing and dancing. "I walk around without a sound as snowflakes drift on by, should I sleep when the night shall creep across the evening sky? I'd like stay up tonight because the stars are bright"- "Sakura what're you doing out? It's late!" A blonde woman questioned worriedly. The petal haired girl looked up and smiled. "Oh nothing Ino the night was just so pretty I couldn't help it." The petal haired girl said smiling at the blonde woman Ino. "Well you'd better hurry up forehead because I'm not going to wait much longer. Plus we'll get into trouble with the headmaster again." Ino said jabbing an accusing finger at the petal haired girl Sakura. "Ino don't wait around for me. I'm willing to get into trouble so you don't have to bother. Also tonight is our free night remember?" Sakura said in a calm tone of voice. "Yeah it is…wait a second you promised me you'd come to the weekly dance this time!" Ino said airily. "I suppose I did I'll go change into something more…suitable." Sakura said while looking down at her plain white dress. "Wonderful! I promise you'll have fun unlike last time!" Ino said her mood changing into cheerfulness.
"Here forehead use this dress!" Ino said throwing a heap of red at Sakura. Sakura unfolded the dress which was a crimson red with rubies and garnets woven throughout the skirt. The dress had a lighter red sash as the waist band and had petal like sleeves of the same shade. "Ino I can't wear this! Not this one…it was my mother's gown she wore when she was at her first ball!" Sakura protested in an emotional manner. "Forehead you need to let go okay? Think of this as the first step." Ino said persuading the girl. "…Alright…" Sakura replied hesitantly.
"You look great!" Ino said admiring the girl. Sakura's gown reached just above her knees, her hair was stuck in a fancy bun held by a clip of crimson red feathers and garnet. She wore a ruby necklace on a single silver chain and a small matching bracelet. Her shoes were crimson heels that made her look four inches taller. She wasn't wearing any makeup except for a light pink gloss on her lips.
Ino on the other hand wore a tight violet dress with amethysts spread across it in multiple directions. Her neck was covered by a lavender colored silk scarf. She wore dark purple boots that made her legs look longer and had a light purple eyeshadow covering her eyes.
The two girls walked confidently well at least Ino, Sakura looked more than a bit unnerved. "Oh look forehead he's cute!" Ino whispered rather loudly pointing towards a raven haired man. "Um… Ino that's Sasuke Kun remember?" Sakura asked nervously. "Oh yeah our childhood crush! You never did gather up the courage to talk to him!" Ino remarked nostalgically. "…Yeah…" Sakura replied quietly. "Well, well, well, if it isn't little Sakura." A mocking voice echoed as everyone stopped to stare.
"Karin!" sakura replied instantly recognizing the voice. "I'd say good to see you but that's obviously not the case." Karin replied. "No we only really see each other before something really bad happens huh?" Sakura said not actually wanting an answer. "…Yeah so the problem this time is…"
