A frustrated eevee paced back and forth in his gray prison. Another eevee sat a few feet away, watching him intently with her chocolate brown eyes. The female sighed slightly, letting her ears droop slightly. "You should stop this." She said simply.
"I'm not giving up." He said briefly as he continued to pace.
"You're wasting your time."
"You won't be saying that when we get out of here."
The calm-natured eevee sighed again. "We've been here for months, if there was a way out we would have found it by now."
The male eevee stopped, turning to look at the other eevee. "Well, what am I supposed to do? Just lay around with you and the others and wait? At least I'm doing something productive."
"I don't think 'productive' is the right word for it." She muttered.
The two were silent for awhile, the only sounds to be heard where the quiet pitter-patter of the male eevee's paws hitting the floor as he paced back and forth, and the some eevee's chatting on the other side of the box.
Suddenly a bright white light erupted from the center of the box. The chatter died down as did the pacing as they all looked at the light which was now forming into the shape of a small eevee.
"I thought she stopped." The male eevee said.
The other sighed. "I guess not.." She stood up. "Let's go greet our new sibling." She said, walking past her brother and towards the newcomer. The light previously surrounding them quickly faded revealing a newborn eevee, their fluffy tail wrapped around their small sleeping form.
