Neonn: I was waiting up for the latest chapter and I was SO happy when I got to read it. Except I don't really want any of the Uchiha's to die. Darn it. Why did Itachi have to catch the crazy? Anyway, this is just a little drabble...though now that it's written I'm almost tempted to actually make a story of it...The spoken words are all taken straight from the latest chapter, 391.

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Naruto characters. Why do you think I'm on a FANFICTION site? Sheesh...

"Was that what you saw...in your vision of my death?"

Itachi spoke slowly. It was an effort just to get the words out, but the elder Uchiha refused to show the strain he put upon himself by speaking. Even with blood filling his own mouth—obviously he had some serious internal injuries—he refused to show any weakness. He knelt there for a moment, eyes closed. He wouldn't open his eyes, refused to do so. He smiled bitterly, while he was hunched over and no one could see. Uchiha Madara had warned him of the consequences of using this final jutsu, but it wasn't as though Itachi had much of a choice. He heard his brother curse him, but ignored it, concentrating on getting his body to move.

"If I hadn't used this move, I would've been obliterated." He told Sasuke, and Zetsu, who he knew was watching. Slowly, agonizingly, he stood, ignoring the pain shooting through his body, a side effect of his chakra exhaustion. He stood straight, and finally gathered his courage. He opened his eyes. Not that it made a difference.

"Sasuke...you have become very strong, Sasuke," he said, staring at where he sensed his bother to be. Before, Sasuke had just been a blur, one that almost resembled a human shape. Now there was nothing. The kaleidoscope had lost it's light.
