AN- So I've written an alternate ending to New Moon before and I really enjoyed writing it, therefore I have decided to write an alternate ending to Eclipse. This is about what would happen if Bree Tanner was still living. You kind of have to have read Eclipse and The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner to understand this.
"Wait," Edward interjected.
Jane raised one eyebrow, but Edward was staring at Carlisle while he spoke in an urgent voice. "We could explain the rules to the young one. She doesn't seem unwilling to learn. She didn't know what she was doing."
"Of course," Carlisle answered. "We would certainly be prepared to take responsibility for Bree."
Jane's Expression was torn between amusement and disbelief. (Eclipse pg.577 & 578. Stephenie Meyer)
"We don't make exceptions," she said. "And we don't give second chances but Cullen Clan in reward for your fighting today I will let you keep your newborn, perhaps she will get to your human before we have to."
Jane smirked at us then turned abruptly and floated away, her almost black clock billowing behind her and the other Volturi following in a formation behind her.
Everyone waited about 10 minutes before they started to speak again.
Edward and Carlisle exchanged a surprised glance then they both turned their heads and looked at Bree, who was still writhing around.
I stared at this new vampire, perhaps a new member of my family. She looked like she used to be small and dainty, whenever she was a human, like Jane and Alice are. But the hungry vampire look seemed to make her bigger, more adult-like.
Edward put his arm around me, "Let's go Bella, we can give her some room to breathe."
I nodded numbly and Edward walked with me till we got to the forest then he threw me on his back and ran back to my house.
